Mementos in Hollow Knight: Silksong are special keepsakes that you can collect late in the game, mostly during Act 3. These items aren’t strictly required for story completion, but they serve as unique trophies tied to difficult quests, hidden challenges, and powerful bosses. All Mementos and How to Obtain Them
1. Hunter’s Memento
How to Get: Complete the Hunter’s Journal.
You’ll need to defeat every enemy and boss enough times for their entries to appear. The journal comes from Nuu in the Greymoor Halfway House during Act 1. Once you’ve finished every entry, speak to her again to claim the memento.
2. Craw Memento
How to Get: Defeat the Court of Craws and the Crawfather in Greymoor.
First complete the Dark Heart quest in Act 3, which unlocks the Craw Summons near benches. Use the summons at Craw Lake to start the gauntlet. After surviving waves of Craws and toppling the Crawfather, you’ll receive the Craw Memento along with a decorative Crawbell for your Bellhome.
3. Conjoined Heart (or Encrusted Heart)
How to Get: Defeat all four Old Heart bosses.
Normally, the Old Hearts quest requires three, but an optional fourth—the Clover Dancers in Verdania—drops a bonus reward. The last Old Heart you defeat provides a memento:
- If you keep the Clover Dancers’ prize, you earn the Conjoined Heart.
- If you sacrifice it to complete the quest, you instead receive the Encrusted Heart from Crust King Khann.
4. Grey Memento
How to Get: Defeat the Watcher at the Edge in the Sands of Karak.
After acquiring Silk Soar, return to the region through the Blasted Steps. Activate yellow orbs to reveal hidden platforms, then climb to a tented chamber. Playing the Elegy of the Deep on your Needolin awakens the Watcher. Defeat it to secure the Grey Memento.
5. Surface Memento
How to Get: Found in the Nameless Town, tied to the Passing of the Age quest.
After navigating a brutal platforming sequence, reach the far-right house in the ruined town. Play your Needolin by the corpse inside, and the Surface Memento drops from the ceiling.
6. Guardian’s Memento
How to Get: Earned through encounters with Shrine Guardian Seth.
First, defeat Seth in the Grand Gate area. After collecting at least two Old Hearts, he’ll begin appearing across Pharloom:

7. Hero’s Memento
How to Get: Complete the Hero’s Call quest.
This quest appears once you’ve brought three Old Hearts to the Snail Shamans and finished the Red Memory sequence. After that, Zaza will guide you to Garmond’s location in the Far Fields. Defeating him awards the Hero’s Memento.
8. Sprintmaster Memento
How to Get: Beat Sprintmaster Swift in Pharloom’s races.
Found beyond the Far Fields near Hunter’s March, Swift challenges you to races as part of the Fastest in Pharloom quest. You’ll need to win three races, then a final one after completing the Old Hearts storyline. Swift awards the Sprintmaster Memento as proof of your speed.
