Battlefield 6 has landed with explosive popularity, but even the best-built battlefields have a few cracks. From comical physics exploits to serious gunplay issues, the community has been busy sharing clips of — and sometimes enjoying. Here’s a rundown of the most notable ones shaking up matches right now.

The “Levitation Hammer” Drone Bug
Every Battlefield release brings its share of wild physics, but this one takes flight — literally. Players recently discovered that hitting a recon drone with a sledgehammer while standing on it triggers an unintended physics interaction that launches both the drone and the player skyward.
Normally, drones can’t carry players, but this quirky bug ignores that rule. When struck, the drone shoots upward, allowing snipers and opportunists to soar dozens or even hundreds of meters above the map. By repeatedly smacking the drone mid-air, players can climb even higher — turning matches into surreal sky duels.
While it’s an entertaining discovery, it can also grant unfair vantage points. Expect it to be patched soon, but until then, it’s one of the most amusing visual glitches in the series.
Bullet Dispersion and Weapon Bloom Issues
Not all Battlefield 6 bugs are fun. A more frustrating one lies in the core gunplay. Players have reported that bullet dispersion and bloom — the mechanic that controls weapon accuracy during sustained fire — don’t behave correctly.
Even with perfect aim, bullets sometimes miss targets without reason, making firefights feel inconsistent. Streamers like TacticalBrit showcased how recoil fails to reset properly, while Shroud called out the issue as a leftover from the beta.
Thankfully, Florian Le Bihan, the game’s principal designer, confirmed the problem. According to him, the team identified two separate bugs affecting bullet spread and promised that fixes and rebalance updates are in progress. He also acknowledged other issues such as bugged supply crates and overexposed glare effects that can blind players.
A patch addressing these problems is expected soon, restoring Battlefield 6’s hallmark precision gunplay.
The “Ladder Launching” Speed Boost
If the drone bug lets you fly, the ladder bug helps you rocket upward.
The so-called “ladder launching” exploit allows players to bounce off Assault Ladders for an unexpected burst of vertical speed. This unintentional boost gives creative players new ways to reach rooftops or escape danger.
Lead producer David Sirland confirmed that this glitch will be removed in an upcoming patch, even though it’s admittedly “really fun to do.” He encouraged players to keep sharing feedback, noting that the team has already rolled out quick hotfixes for movement and spawn bugs as they prepare for the major Season 1 update.
Until then, ladder launching remains one of Battlefield 6’s most entertaining mobility tricks — part of the franchise’s long tradition of accidental acrobatics.
Other Notable Technical Hiccups
Beyond the headline-grabbing exploits, players have flagged several smaller but persistent issues:
- Server queue overloads at launch, which briefly broke the EA App and led to free Battle Pass rewards.
- Helicopter spawn problems and occasional invisible hitboxes around objectives.
- Lighting inconsistencies, where reflections or glare can obscure enemies at key angles.
DICE appears committed to addressing these quickly, with rapid updates already stabilizing performance for most players. Play Now!
