Borderlands 4 Evocarium Locations: Find All 18 Shrines

Evocariums are one of the most engaging collectible challenges in Borderlands 4. Unlike simple pick-ups, each Evocarium requires you to solve a small puzzle by tracking down three glowing Memordium Orbs scattered nearby. Completing them not only adds to your region progress but also unlocks lore, rewards, and the Stranded Sister Challenge.

This guide covers all 18 Evocariums, including where to find them, how to solve their orb puzzles, and what rewards you’ll earn along the way.

How Evocariums Work

When you interact with an Evocarium podium, three yellow beams will appear pointing toward hidden Memordium Orbs in the area. Collecting all three returns their energy to the shrine, completing the challenge.

  • Orb locations vary: some are perched on rooftops, hidden in caves, or require grappling and gliding to reach.
  • Rewards: Each Evocarium grants 15 SDU Tokens, which can be spent on Storage Deck Upgrades for ammo, backpack, bank, or lost loot capacity.
  • Completion bonus: Collecting all 18 completes the Stranded Sister Challenge, awarding XP, Eridium, cash, and a unique weapon skin.

Evocarium Locations by Region

The Fadefields

Six Evocariums are scattered across this starting zone, making it a good place to practice the mechanics early.

  1. Coastal Bonescape – Harper’s Hideaway
    • Find the shrine on the upper floor of the south side. Orbs are on silo platforms to the north, on the tall central building’s ledge, and on its roof’s southern drop.
  2. Coastal Bonescape – Waterstop
    • Orbs are above the red rooftop on the east side, a grapple point on a northwest roof, and hidden down by the water pipes.
  3. Hungering Plain – Operant Control
    • Orbs are atop a northeast ladder climb, on a silo in front of the Evocarium, and on a southwest rooftop.
  4. The Howl – Wreck of the Maestar
    • Found underground. Orbs are inside a tent, at the eastern edge of the ground, and in a second tent north of the first.
  5. Idolator’s Noose – Tetanus Quad
    • Orbs are behind a red barn (climb hay stacks), atop a northeast building via grapple, and on a western ledge.
  6. Dissected Plateau – The Stubs
    • Orbs are across rooftops to the north-northwest, southeast, and northeast, requiring several glides.

Terminus Range

Five Evocariums can be found here, often involving steep cliffs and Order Silos.

  1. Cuspid Climb – Hollowhome
    • Orbs are atop a nearby building, then on southern and southeastern rooftops.
  2. Cuspid Climb – North of Cloudbank
    • Use a grapple to reach a ledge (first orb), climb north for the second, and then scale the tall structure’s rear wall.
  3. Low Leys – Arch of Origo Vault area
    • Orbs are on a rocky cliff ledge, after climbing a wall to the west, and near the roadside ledge to the south.
  4. Low Leys – Wreck of the Seventh Cradle
    • Orbs are on an abandoned vehicle roof, atop a bunker roof, and a grapple-up ledge northwest of the shrine.
  5. Stoneblood Forest – Substation Canonry
    • Orbs are found on an abandoned outpost, a rocky southeast ledge path, and a northeastern rooftop.

Carcadia Burn

Four Evocariums await in this desert region.

  1. Tonnage Peel – Wreck of the Cargonian
    • Orbs are on a hanging ladder, across southeast rubble, and high on a northern building with wind propulsion.
  2. Ruined Sumplands – Pain Street
    • Orbs are behind sewage water, inside a west building stair path, and atop an eastern building via grapple.
  3. Lopside – Embracer’s Bluff
    • Orbs are on a rock structure, atop an abandoned jet engine, and on a northwest building roof.
  4. Tonnage Peel – Bridge Mission Path
    • Orbs are up a southern ledge, in a pool of green liquid, and on scrap metal to the northwest.

Dominion

The final three Evocariums are deep in the city, hidden among scaffolding, rooftops, and industrial structures.

  1. Carcadia District – Final Defiance
    • Orbs are northwest on the ground, atop a massive pipe, and on a north building with wind propulsion.
  2. Terminus District – The Dunk
    • Orbs are directly right of the shrine, atop a container, and across the southwest wall via gliding.
  3. Fades District – Sumpview Falls
    • Orbs are on a southwest rooftop, inside a tent-roofed building to the north, and behind red container scaffolding.

Quick Tips for Borderlands 4 Evocariums

  • Use the beams: Interact with the shrine multiple times if you lose track of orb directions.
  • Master movement: Double jumps, mantles, glides, and grapple points are essential.
  • Wait for access: Some Evocariums are locked behind story missions or side quests. Nothing is missable—you can always return in free-roam.
  • Track progress: On console press Square (PS5) / X (Xbox), or F (PC) on the map to see your collectible count.
