How to Complete Communication Hideout ARC Raiders Quest

Communication Hideout is one of the early Buried City quests that looks simple on paper but becomes confusing once you start searching for a missing battery and the rooftop antenna. Everything takes place in and around Red Tower, yet the game gives very little directional help, making players wander in circles.

Overview of the Quest

Communication Hideout consists of five core objectives:

1. Reach the Red Tower in Old Town
2. Find the missing battery cell
3. Install the battery in the generator
4. Enable the generator power
5. Boot the antenna terminal on the Red Tower rooftop

The quest does not require extraction, so you can safely bring a free loadout.

1. How to Reach the Red Tower in Old Town

Red Tower sits in the southern section of the Buried City, near Plaza Rosa. The area is an open courtyard with a tall reddish building at the center and frequent ARC patrols.

As you enter the courtyard:

• Look for the large metal structure at the center.
• Around this structure is where most of the quest steps happen.

You may encounter ARC units on the way, so clear the courtyard before interacting with objectives.

2. Find the Missing Battery Cell

Once you’re in the courtyard, your next task is to locate the battery cell that powers the nearby generator.

Where the Battery Spawns

The battery can appear in two possible forms:

• Inside a yellow-marked metal box northeast of the Red Tower
• Inside a backpack on the ground next to the generator structure

Both versions are easy to miss because they blend into the environment. Look for the usual yellow interaction prompt used in most ARC Raiders quests.

3. Install the Battery in the Generator

After picking up the battery, turn around toward the courtyard again. The generator is:

• A small metal unit connected by cables to the tower
• Located near the subway entrance beside the Red Tower

Walk carefully while holding the battery—you move slower until you insert it.

Place the battery inside the slot to advance to the next step.

4. Enable the Power on the Generator

Powering the generator is straightforward:

• Go to the switch on the right side
• Interact with it to activate the system

This fully powers the Red Tower, unlocking the path to the final objective.

5. Boot the Antenna Terminal on the Red Tower

This is the part most players struggle with, because the terminal is placed on an exterior rooftop platform, not inside the tower interior.

How to Reach the Rooftop Terminal

1. From the generator, look toward the Red Tower.
2. Enter through the open window just above ground level.
3. Climb the staircase until you reach a ladder.
4. Use the ladder to access the upper platform outside.
5. Walk along the exterior ledge and turn right around the corner.
6. The yellow-marked antenna terminal is located on this platform.

Interact with the terminal to complete the quest.

After finishing the mission and reporting back to Speranza, you receive:

• 1× Anvil III
