Lucy’s full name is Lucyna Kushinada, and she debuted in Netflix’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners before the events of Cyberpunk 2077.
She was born to a Japanese war veteran father and a Polish netrunner mother, growing up in luxury within Arasaka’s gated community. Her father, Takeshi Kushinada, served in the Fourth Corporate War. Lucy met David Martinez, a street kid with the rare Sandevistan cyberware. Initially, she planned to take it, but David’s grit impressed her. She convinced Maine to let him join the crew instead.

Tragedy and Loss
Lucy tried to protect David, even sabotaging jobs to keep him off Arasaka’s radar. Kiwi’s betrayal led to Lucy’s capture. David rescued her but lost almost everyone in the process.
Only Lucy and Falco survived. She eventually reached the Moon, fulfilling her dream. The anime ends with Lucy visiting a place from her first braindance with David, highlighting the bittersweet nature of her escape.
Lucy in GGST — Gameplay Role and Crossover Story
In GGST, Lucy’s arrival is explained through a deep net dive while searching for her crew’s data. This dive somehow transports her into the Guilty Gear world, possibly through an Arasaka trap.
