Genshin Impact has officially launched its Version 5.8 update, Sunspray Summer Resort, rolling out a wave of new content, characters, weapons, events, and system optimizations. Players across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and mobile can now explore the sun-soaked regions of Natlan and enjoy summer-themed adventures while testing new gameplay mechanics.
New Easybreeze Holiday Resort
One of the most exciting additions in Version 5.8 is the Easybreeze Holiday Resort in Natlan. Travelers who have completed Archon Quest Prologue: Act III will gain immediate access through an automatically unlocked Teleport Waypoint.
This tropical-themed location offers:
- New Fishing Points and Radiant Spincrystals
- Fresh World Quests linked to the Sunspray Summer Resort event
- Exploration rewards, including Primogems and materials
In addition, the update expands Natlan progression with the Tona’s Flame system, increasing its level cap to 50. Once maxed, players can exchange excess Pyro Sigils for rewards at the Saurian Relics Association.

Meet Ineffa: The New 5-Star Electro Polearm User
Version 5.8 introduces “Boom Boom Thunderwave” Ineffa, a 5-star Electro Polearm support character.
Key features of Ineffa’s kit include:
- Elemental Skill: Generates Optical Flow Shield Barrier and summons Birgitta to continuously attack enemies.
- Elemental Burst: Launches Birgitta for AoE Electro damage, maintaining her on-field presence.
- Lunar-Charged Reaction: A new Electro-Hydro reaction that spawns a thundercloud to strike enemies with Electro damage, capable of triggering CRIT hits and scaling with all contributing elements.
Lunar-Charged reactions are particularly powerful when combined with Hydro characters and can now also interact with new Abyss blessings and seasonal challenges.

New Weapons
To support Ineffa and other builds, Version 5.8 adds two weapons:
- Fractured Halo (5★ Polearm) – Boosts ATK and enhances Lunar-Charged damage for the party. This weapon is event-exclusive and available via the Event Wish.
- Flame-Forged Insight (4★ Claymore) – Restores Energy and buffs Elemental Mastery after triggering Electro-related reactions. It can be obtained from the Sunspray Summer Resort event.
Stylish New Outfits for Yelan and Bennett
Fashion-conscious Travelers can pick up two new character outfits:
- Tranquil Banquet (Yelan) – Available in the Character Outfit Shop, with a limited-time discount until September 8, 2025.
- Adventures in Blazing Hue (Bennett) – Obtainable for free by participating in the Sunspray Summer Resort event.
