How to Unlock the Mission

  • Quest Giver: Topper
  • Location: Boglight Vigilance, Dissected Plateau (south of Wyclef’s Reprieve Safehouse)
  • Requirement: Complete the main mission One Fell Swoop and uncover the surrounding map region.

You’ll find Topper, a Psycho missing his lower half, on the porch of the lighthouse at Boglight Vigilance. Speak with him to trigger the mission.

How to Complete Gone Are My Leggies

1. Talk to Topper

Topper explains that his mechanical “leggies” have been stolen by a flying creature. Your first job is to head up the nearby lighthouse to track them down.

2. Climb the Lighthouse

The climb is a short platforming sequence. Look for yellow paint markers to guide your path. Use double jumps and the grappling hook to scale ledges:

  • Start on the right side ledge marked in yellow.
  • Leap to the platform across the shack roof.
  • Grapple to a higher beam, then double jump to the next ledge.
  • Finish with one last climb up the stairs to reach the top.

At the summit, you’ll see the mechanical legs—just in time for a Kratch called The Beastie to swoop in and carry them away.

3. Chase the Beastie

Jump down and glide after it, then switch to your vehicle to keep up. The chase winds through the Plateau, circling around Fortress Indomita and finally leading toward Idolator’s Noose.

Tip:

  • If you lose sight of the Beastie, follow the quest marker on your HUD.
  • Beware: the creature’s waypoint can occasionally shift if you fast travel, so stick to the chase route to avoid bugs.

4. Enter the Lair & Kill the Beastie

The chase ends in Beastie’s lair west of Boglight Vigilance. Here the fight begins.

  • Enemy Type: Flying Kratch boss with multiple Kratch minions.
  • Weakness: Fire elemental damage (burn effects are especially effective).
  • Tactics:
    • Use Assault Rifles or Sniper Rifles to hit Beastie while airborne.
    • Prioritize clearing lesser Kratches to maintain Second Wind opportunities if you get knocked down.
    • Take cover often—Beastie’s ranged attacks can overwhelm if you’re underleveled.

Once Beastie falls, Topper’s mechanical legs are freed.

5. Escort the Leggies

Interact with the legs, and they’ll begin walking back to Boglight Vigilance. The escort isn’t hands-off:

  • Expect ambushes from Order enemies along the route.
  • If the legs stop, clear the area before they continue.
  • The legs will occasionally help in combat, using spinning attacks.

Follow them all the way back to Topper.

6. Reunion & Completion

At Boglight Vigilance, Topper descends on an elevator lift to be reunited with his beloved legs. The quest concludes with a short comedic exchange and your rewards.

Gone Are My Leggies Mission Rewards

Completing Gone Are My Leggies grants:

  • Cash
  • Experience (XP)
  • Eridium
  • Sniper Rifle (Uncommon → Epic rarity depending on progression)
  • Cosmetic: Halt, Citizen Vehicle Paint Job

It also unlocks the follow-up mission To the Limb It, continuing Topper’s strange saga.
