Google Pixel Buds Pro to get two new colors to match Pixel 8 phones

Google is set to add a splash of color to its Pixel Buds Pro wireless earbuds lineup with the introduction of two new colurs: Bay Blue and Porcelain. These stylish additions are expected to match the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.

Until now, Pixel Buds Pro is available in four (4) color choices: Charcoal (dark gray), Fog (very light gray), Lemongrass (light yellow-green), and Coral (a pink-orange blend). However, the new entrants, Bay Blue and Porcelain, promise to refresh the earbuds’ aesthetic appeal. Bay Blue offers a serene pale blue option, while Porcelain brings an elegant off-white color to the mix.

Rumors and Leaks

Speculation about these new color options had been circulating in tech circles for a while. Render-maker @OnLeaks and The Tech Outlook (via 9to5Google) had previously hinted at the introduction of Bay Blue and Porcelain.

Matching the Pixel 8 Series

Google is making sure that the Pixel Buds Pro color palette aligns with its upcoming smartphone releases. Just as Bay Blue and Porcelain are set to grace the earbuds, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones are expected to sport similar shades. This coordinated approach is not new for Google, as the Pixel Buds A were previously released in a Sea Blue color to complement the Pixel 7a.

What to Expect on October 4 Google Event

While Google has not officially confirmed these color additions, all eyes are on the tech giant’s upcoming event on October 4. At this event, Google is expected to unveil not only the Pixel 8 series but also other products like the Pixel Watch and Pixelbook Go. The event will be streamed live on YouTube, starting at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. BST, giving fans an opportunity to witness the latest in Google’s product lineup.
