Hisuian Pokémon, first introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, have steadily made their way into Pokémon GO, bringing fresh twists to familiar species with new typings, unique appearances, and different evolution requirements. Like Alolan and Galarian variants, these Hisui forms stand out from their classic counterparts and have quickly become sought-after additions for collectors and competitive players alike. This guide covers every Hisuian Pokémon currently available in Pokémon GO as of mid-2025, and explains how you can add them to your Pokédex.

Many of these forms are exclusive to time-limited events, making them prized collectibles for Trainers looking to complete their Pokédex.
What Are Hisuian Pokémon?
Hisuian Pokémon are regional forms that originally debuted in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, set in the Hisui region—the ancient past of Sinnoh. Much like Alolan or Galarian forms, Hisuian Pokémon often have:
- Different types than their classic counterparts
- Unique appearances
- Distinct movesets
Unlike some other regional forms, many Hisuian Pokémon can’t be evolved directly from their traditional counterparts in Pokémon GO, and instead must be caught through raids, events, or special research.
However, their availability in Pokémon GO varies. While some can be caught in the wild, others are exclusive to raids, special research tasks, or timed events.

Below is a list of all Hisuian forms currently in Pokémon GO, their types, and how to obtain them. If you’re exploring other unique Pokémon encounters, check out our Gigantamax Lapras Max Battle Day in Pokémon GO guide for another special raid Pokémon.
Nearly all of these Pokémon are available in their Shiny versions if you’re lucky during special events or raids.
Hisuian Growlithe & Hisuian Arcanine
- Type: Fire/Rock
- How to Get:
- Hisuian Growlithe can be found in the wild, with spawn rates boosted during certain events or specific weather.
- Evolve Hisuian Growlithe into Hisuian Arcanine with 50 Growlithe Candies.
Both forms are available as Shiny variants.
Hisuian Arcanine, with its dual Fire/Rock typing, offers unique coverage but carries a vulnerability to Water and Ground attacks, making it an interesting choice for battles.
Hisuian Voltorb & Hisuian Electrode
- Type: Electric/Grass
- How to Get:
- Hisuian Voltorb can appear in the wild or hatch from 7km Eggs.
- Evolve it into Hisuian Electrode using Voltorb Candies.
These were the first Hisuian Pokemon introduced in Pokemon GO, arriving in early 2022.
The Electric/Grass typing makes this variant distinct from the original pure Electric-type Voltorb, offering resistance to Water and Electric moves.
Hisuian Typhlosion
- Type: Fire/Ghost
- How to Get:
- Only available in 3-star raids during Hisui-themed events.
- You cannot evolve Quilava into Hisuian Typhlosion in Pokémon GO.
Keep an eye on event schedules for its return.
Its Fire/Ghost typing grants Hisuian Typhlosion an edge against Normal and Fighting-type foes, while making it weak to Dark, Water, Rock, and Ghost attacks.
Hisuian Qwilfish & Overqwil
- Type: Dark/Poison
- How to Get:
- Hisuian Qwilfish spawns in the wild or hatches from 7km Eggs.
- To evolve into Overqwil:
- Set Hisuian Qwilfish as your Buddy.
- Win 10 raids.
- Spend 50 Qwilfish Candies.
Both forms can appear as Shiny Pokémon.
This evolution is one of the few in Pokémon GO that requires completing specific Buddy tasks, adding a layer of challenge for Trainers.
Hisuian Sneasel & Sneasler
- Type: Fighting/Poison
- How to Get:
- Hisuian Sneasel spawns in the wild.
- To evolve into Sneasler:
- Set Hisuian Sneasel as your Buddy.
- Walk 7km.
- Evolve during daytime.
- Spend 100 Sneasel Candies.
Note: Hisuian Sneasel cannot evolve into Weavile.
Hisuian Sneasel’s unique typing makes it strong against Dark and Grass Pokémon but vulnerable to Psychic, Flying, and Ground moves.
Hisuian Samurott
- Type: Water/Dark
- How to Get:
- Obtainable exclusively via 3-star raids.
- You cannot evolve Dewott into Hisuian Samurott in Pokémon GO.
Its dual typing gives it new strategic uses in battle compared to regular Samurott.
When battling Hisuian Samurott in raids, consider using Electric, Grass, Fighting, or Fairy-type Pokémon to exploit its weaknesses.
Hisuian Lilligant
- Type: Grass/Fighting
- How to Get:
- Available via 3-star raids during events (e.g., Raid Day on July 12, 2025).
- Petilil evolution yields regular Lilligant, not the Hisuian form.
Missed it? Watch for future Raid rotations.
Hisuian Lilligant’s quick moveset and unique typing make it a dynamic, though somewhat fragile, option for raids and PvP.
Hisuian Braviary
- Type: Psychic/Flying
- How to Get:
- Found in 3-star raids during Hisui-themed events.
It cannot be evolved from Rufflet in Pokémon GO.
Its Psychic/Flying combination gives Hisuian Braviary coverage against Fighting-types, but it remains vulnerable to Electric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark moves.
Hisuian Zorua & Hisuian Zoroark
- Type: Normal/Ghost
- How to Get:
- Debuted during the “Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration” in July 2025.
- Hisuian Zorua appears disguised as your Buddy Pokémon in the wild.
- Evolve into Hisuian Zoroark with 50 Zorua Candies.
Pro Tip: Use a Shiny or Legendary Buddy to spot Zorua more easily.
Unlike traditional Zorua, the Hisuian variant’s Normal/Ghost typing makes it immune to both Normal and Ghost attacks, adding fascinating strategic depth in battles.
Hisuian Avalugg
- Type: Ice/Rock
- How to Get:
- Featured in events like the “Hisui Celebration Collection Challenge.”
- Can appear in 3-star raids.
Currently, Bergmite cannot evolve into Hisuian Avalugg in Pokémon GO.
Its bulk and dual typing give Hisuian Avalugg strong defenses but leave it highly vulnerable to Steel, Fighting, Rock, and Water moves.
Kleavor
- Type: Bug/Rock
- How to Get:
- Obtainable via 3-star raids during special events (e.g., Kleavor Raid Day in May 2023).
Scyther cannot evolve into Kleavor in Pokémon GO as of mid-2025.
Kleavor’s Bug/Rock combination provides useful coverage against Psychic, Dark, and Flying Pokémon, making it an appealing choice for certain raid counters.
Wyrdeer
- Type: Normal/Psychic
- How to Get:
- Available through 3-star raids during Hisui-themed events.
Evolution from Stantler isn’t possible in Pokémon GO yet.
Wyrdeer’s Normal/Psychic typing gives it versatility, but it’s best used cautiously due to weaknesses to Dark, Bug, and Ghost moves.
Hisuian Decidueye
- Type: Grass/Fighting
- How to Get:
- Appears in 3-star raids.
- You can’t evolve Dartrix into Hisuian Decidueye in Pokémon GO.
Watch for Hisui Raid Days for your chance to catch it.
If you’re battling Hisuian Decidueye, consider leading with Flying-types to exploit its dual weaknesses.

- Hisuian Goodra
