Discord has rolled out Checkpoint 2025—a personalized year-in-review experience that highlights your activity across the platform. If you spent the year hanging out in servers, gaming with friends, or trading messages and reactions, your Checkpoint recap turns it all into a visual summary you can scroll through and share.
This guide explains how to access your recap on desktop and mobile, eligibility requirements, what stats are included, and how long Checkpoint will remain viewable.
What is Discord Checkpoint?
Checkpoint is Discord’s first annual recap feature, designed to show users how they interacted on the platform during 2025. It gathers personal usage data such as message counts, servers visited, time spent in voice channels, gaming activity, and top friends you interacted with.
It also includes an exclusive Checkpoint Avatar Decoration as a participation reward, available to display until January 15, 2026 .
What Your Checkpoint Recap Includes
When you open your 2025 recap, you’ll see a breakdown of:
- How many messages and reactions you sent
- Your most-used emojis across the year
- Top servers you spent time in
- How many hours you were active in voice chat
- Games played with Discord open
- Who you interacted with most
- Quests completed
- Your personal top five most-played games
The goal is simple: show you what defined your year on Discord—whether that was late-night calls, marathon gaming weekends, or thriving server communities.
How to Get Your Discord Checkpoint (Desktop & Browser)
Checkpoint access is built directly into the Discord interface. To view it:
- Update to the latest version of Discord.
- Look for the flag icon in the top-right corner.
- Click the icon to open your Checkpoint recap.
Eligible users may also get a one-time pop-up window that leads straight to the recap screen .
How to View Your Checkpoint on Mobile
The process is almost identical, but navigation is slightly different:
- Update the Discord app to the newest build.
- Tap the You tab at the bottom-right of the app.
- Select the Checkpoint banner to begin your recap.
Just like desktop, some users will receive a pop-up prompt that opens Checkpoint immediately .
Who Can Access a Checkpoint Recap?
Not everyone will receive a Checkpoint. Discord only generates recaps for users who:
- Were active on the platform during 2025
- Have Use data to personalize my Discord experience enabled
If your personalization setting was turned off or your activity was too low, you may not get a recap. However, you can still claim the free avatar decoration using the same Checkpoint access steps .
How Long Will Checkpoint Be Available?
You can view your Discord Checkpoint until:
January 15, 2026
After this cutoff date, recaps will no longer be accessible .
If you want to save yours permanently, consider exporting or sharing screenshots.
Can You Share Your Recap?
Yes. Checkpoint includes a built-in share button on the summary page. You can post it directly inside Discord or screenshot pages and upload them anywhere else.
Only you can see your Checkpoint by default—the choice to share is entirely yours.
