Before you can invite or join friends, you need to progress past the opening section. Destiny Rising requires players to complete the tutorial missions and reach the main city hub before friend features unlock. If you’ve just started or are rerolling your account, finish those early quests first.
Where to Find the Friend Menu
To enter multiplayer, open the friend menu. There are two ways to do this:
- Mouse and Keyboard: Press Enter to bring up the chat box, then navigate to the second icon on the right, which shows two character silhouettes.
- Interface Button: On-screen, look for the chat box icon in the bottom-right corner.
From here, you can see your fireteam, nearby players, or chat directly with friends.
