The True Treasure is the final Discovery Quest in the Prismbeard Treasure questline, introduced in Palia’s Radiance Rising update. This quest explores the story of Prismbeard, the legendary pirate with a geometric beard. You’ll follow his path across Elderwood to find statues, solve clues, and open a final treasure hidden behind a puzzle.

This guide will show you how to complete every part of the quest with steps, map locations, and useful tips. It also includes background details to help if you missed parts of the earlier quest.
Prerequisites Recap
To start this quest, you need to finish the first two quests in the Prismbeard Treasure storyline — especially Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure, which directly leads into this one. That quest ends with you finding a hidden map near Red Blossom Cave. The map points to something bigger—Prismbeard’s “true treasure.”
How to Start the True Treasure Quest
The True Treasure quest starts right after you complete Prismbeard’s Lost Treasure. You don’t need to pick it up—it begins on its own. If it doesn’t show up, try logging out and logging back in.
Go to Kilima Village and talk to Caleri, the librarian. She’s usually in the Restricted Section of the Library, next to the Furniture Store. If you’re in Elderwood, use the fast travel stables to return to Kilima quickly.
Ask her about Prismbeard and she’ll give you some Newspaper Clippings.
The clippings have short clues and pictures that help you find where Prismbeard left statues. You can check them later in your Quest Pouch by clicking the exclamation mark icon and using the right-click to read them. If you’re playing on PC, right-click the clippings and choose “Read” to view them easily.
Important: Make sure you have the Pirate Spyglass equipped. Without it, you won’t be able to see the statues or the purple trails around them.
All coordinates in this guide refer to locations on the Elderwood map.
You must visit the statues in the correct order for the quest to progress. Finding them out of order won’t unlock the next step.
Following the Trail: Finding the Statues
Each statue shows a part of Prismbeard’s past. You must visit them in the right order, and after each one, talk to Auni and Nai’o nearby. They are part of the quest and help you move to the next step.
Auni and Nai’o are like your travel buddies in this quest. They’re very interested in Prismbeard’s life and are there to react and talk about what you find.
Here’s where to go and what to look for at each statue.
Part 1: Prismbeard’s Childhood Home – A4 (Mauvais Way)
Clue: “Born and raised in the forest just outside of Zendruu Outpost.”
Go to A4 in Mauvais Way. There’s a small shack on the cliffs near Red Blossom Cave. Use your Spyglass to see the statue.
Some people believe the forest near Zendruu was home to early settlers. Maybe Prismbeard’s family lived here before moving on.
After you check the statue, Auni will appear nearby. Talk to him to continue.
Part 2: Where He Built His First Ship – F6 (Deep Woods)
Clue: A small pond and wooden dock in the forest.
Go to F6, between Red Blossom Cave and Lilac Cavern. Look for a dock at the edge of the pond. The statue is there.
This part of the story shows Prismbeard’s early dream—building a ship, even if it was just a small one.
Talk to Auni and Nai’o nearby before moving on.
Part 3: Where He First Set Sail – C8 (De Mer Dock)
Clue: A big port with ships and buildings.
Go to C8, left of the De Mer Dock fast travel point. There’s a gazebo nearby with the statue. Use the Spyglass to find it.
This place shows where Prismbeard left home and started his life as a sailor.
Talk to Auni after checking the statue.
Part 4: Where He Was Caught – F4 (Central Stables)
Clue: Open land and tall stone walkways.
Head to F4 and climb the walkways above the Central Stables. Look for the upper wooden platforms near the Umbraan Shrine. You’ll need to go around the central structure to reach the statue.
This place may show where Prismbeard was trapped—maybe caught in an ambush.
Check the statue and talk to Auni near the entrance.
Part 5: Where He Escaped – G2 (Mitana Grove)
Clue: A six-sided dock surrounded by water and trees.
Go to G2 in Mitana Grove. You’ll find a raised dock in the middle of the clearing. The statue is there.
This could show Prismbeard’s escape and return to freedom.
Check the statue and then speak with Auni and Nai’o for the next step.
Part 6: Return to Eobard’s Revenge – D8 (Shipwreck Cave)
Clue: Prismbeard’s final resting place.
Go to D8, near Shipwreck Cave. From De Mer Dock, walk west along the cliffs to the cave entrance. Inside the cave, follow the path up to find a glowing door with purple signs. There’s a statue on the stairs.
Check the statue and talk to Auni and Nai’o one last time. The door to the Secret Cave will open.
Inside the Secret Cave: Puzzle Room
Inside the cave, there’s a puzzle with four dials. Each one has a sea creature symbol and must face a specific direction. Use the scrolls in the room to figure it out.
Creature | Symbol Description | Direction |
---|---|---|
Charybdis | Orange swirl with an eye | West |
Leviathan | Purple serpent | South |
Siren | Blue mermaid | North |
Kraken | Teal squid | East |
Use the compass on the screen to help line them up. Then press the purple button to check.
Tip: If the chest doesn’t open, free some space in your inventory and reload the area.
Also Try: Re-equipping your Spyglass or relogging if statues or trails don’t show up during the quest.
Quest Rewards
Inside the last room, open the treasure chest to get:
- Prismbeard’s Journal
- 1x Emerald
- 1x Garnet
- 1x Pearl
- 2x Gold Bars
- Prismbeard’s Figurehead (Housing Item)
- +15 Renown
The rewards are both useful and special. The figurehead is a nice decoration for your house.
What Was the True Treasure?
When you finish the quest, Auni says something that gives a hint—the treasure isn’t just gold. It’s the story, the journey, and what Prismbeard left behind.
This quest is about exploring and remembering someone’s past. The best part of it isn’t the chest—it’s the adventure you had to get there.
