Paradox Resurrection Tier List: Best Hollow Powers Ranked

Your power defines everything in Roblox Paradox. Whether you play Soul Reaper, Quincy, or Hollow, your Shikai, Schrift, or Resurrection sets your moveset, your combo ceiling, and your PvE efficiency. Rerolling costs resources, so picking the right power from the start saves you hours.

Shikai Tier List

Six Shikai power up Soul Reapers in Paradox. Three stand above the rest. Gravity and Flower dominate ranked matches, Lightning punches far above its Rare rarity, and the remaining three fall behind — though all three earn their place in PvE grinding rotations.

S Tier Shikai

Meta Powers: Win more matches than they lose in skilled hands

PowerRarityWhy It’s S Tier
GravityLegendaryBest combo control, pulls enemies, full chain potential
FlowerLegendaryBalanced kit with fast attacks and versatility
LightningRareHigh mobility + guard breaks on almost every move

Gravity

Item: Gravity Core · Based on Izuru Kira
Rarity: Legendary

“Gravity tops every Shikai ranking because it controls the fight before your opponent decides to act.”

Gravity pulls, slows, and staggers with every move — and every move chains into the next. Most Shikai kits give you one strong tool and expect you to work around the rest. Gravity gives you four combo-ready moves and a Bankai that adds AoE rips and ranged pulls.

The one gap is mobility. Gravity owns no dash or leap, so enemy kite builds force you to fight on their terms. Compensate through your skill tree and you eliminate the weakness entirely. For PvP and PvE alike, nothing tops this kit in the current build.

Move Breakdown

  • Z – Gravity Field: Pulls enemies in · Posture DMG
  • X – Gravito Slashes: Multi-slash · slowly pulls target
  • C – Gravity Pull: Grabs, lifts, and pulls opponent
  • T – Anti-Gravity: Area rip · Guardbreaks (Bankai)
  • G – Gravity Shuffle: Ranged rock AoE (Bankai)

Flower

Item: Blooming Lotus · Based on Byakuya Kuchiki
Rarity: Legendary

“Flower does everything well. That breadth makes it the safest S-tier pick for new ranked players.”

Flower packs range, AoE, mobility, and damage into one kit — and each move carries short wind-ups, which matters enormously in PvP. Slower powers like Rampage telegraph attacks; Flower connects before opponents react.

The trade-off is combo depth. Flower wins fights through sustained pressure rather than tight chains. If you prefer methodical setups over rapid-fire combos, Gravity edges ahead. If you want a power that adapts to every matchup, Flower stays elite from day one through endgame.

Move Breakdown

  • Z – Blossom: Petal tornado · Guardbreaks · knockback
  • X – Sakura Slash: Petal cloud · Posture DMG · stuns
  • C – Petal Storm: Rush slash · Posture DMG · knockback
  • T – Senkai: Rains swords · Guardbreaks (Bankai)
  • G – SenbonSlicers: Three aimed swords · Guardbreaks (Bankai)

Lightning

Item: Stormheart · Based on Chojiro Sasakibe
Rarity: Rare

“Lightning is the most impressive Rare in the game — and it beats most Legendaries in PvP head-to-head.”

Guard breaks appear on nearly every move. Volt Dash pulls enemies with you mid-dash, creating chase opportunities that no other Shikai replicates. Chaotic Bolt and Disaster Strike both guard break and knock up, giving you consistent combo starters.

The Bankai adds Flash Jump (a leap-and-slam with Guard break) and Electrocution (a lightning dash into a grab). The trade-off is that almost every move demands precise aim. Players who invest practice time in a private server turn Lightning into the best PvP Shikai in the game. Players who skip that practice feed kills.

Move Breakdown

  • Z – Disaster Strike: Lightning around you · Guardbreaks · knocks up
  • X – Volt Dash: Forward dash · Guardbreaks · pulls enemies
  • C – Chaotic Bolt: Aimed strike · Guardbreaks · knocks up
  • T – Flash Jump: Leap-and-slam · Guardbreaks (Bankai)
  • G – Electrocution: Lightning dash into grab (Bankai)

A Tier Shikai

Very Good Powers: Strong in skilled hands — each has one clear limitation

PowerRarityReason
BloodRareStrong PvE sustain, good ranged control
RampageLegendaryNeeds Bankai to become strong
WindCommonBest common Shikai, lacks guard breaks early

Blood

Item: Bloodstone · Based on Unohana
Rarity: Rare

“Blood excels at range and kiting — then transforms into a solo PvE farming machine once you unlock the Bankai.”

Echo ground-slams and knocks enemies away. Carnage impales and drags along the floor. Ending summons a blood dragon at your cursor, giving you a mobile, placed AoE tool that other kits lack. You control the spacing of every fight.

The weakness shows in PvP: some moves carry long wind-ups that skilled opponents read and dodge. Without the Bankai you also lose the healing utility that makes Blood exceptional in endgame PvE. Treat this as a kit that rewards patience, not aggression.

Rampage

Item: Rampage Crest · Based on Kenpachi Zaraki
Rarity: Legendary

“Rampage looks better on paper than it plays before Bankai. Treat it as a Bankai-dependent power.”

All three base moves chain into each other — Crusher rushes forward with a guard break, Rage stuns with posture damage, and Meteor Crash guard breaks on the slam. The problem is the AoE stays small and the wind-ups run long, which lets range kits stay outside your effective range indefinitely.

The Bankai changes everything. Raging Beast grabs by the neck and drags across the ground. Berserk Rush dashes forward with a thrashing guard break. Once you unlock these, Rampage climbs toward S tier. Before that point, expect frustrating matchups against anything with range.

Wind

Item: Zephyr Core · Based on Kensei Muguruma
Rarity: Common

“Wind is the best Common Shikai by a clear margin — and a genuine PvE workhorse even before Bankai.”

Kaze Twirl gives instant forward mobility. Gale Slashes applies knockback across three wind slashes. Gust stuns in a cone. The toolkit works cleanly for PvE kiting and casual PvP. The problem before Bankai is that nothing guard breaks, which means every base move can get blocked by a patient opponent.

The Bankai solves this completely. Tempest Effusion bypasses block entirely. Tekken Tachikaze rushes forward with a guard break. Two moves turn Wind from a blockable kit into a legitimate PvP threat. For Common rarity, that payoff is exceptional.

B Tier Shikai

Decent Powers: Functional — but clear weaknesses hold them back in ranked play

PowerRarityReason
ShadowCommonWeak early but strong after Bankai
FireCommonWorst Shikai, no strong early tools

Shadow

Item: Shadowgem · Based on Shunsui Kyoraku
Rarity: Common

“Shadow’s base kit under-delivers — but the Bankai move Kageokuri gives it one of the strongest PvP tools in any Shikai.”

The base kit disappoints in PvP. Short range hurts in PvE. If you pick Shadow expecting S-tier performance before your Bankai unlocks, you lose matches you should win. Grind through that early frustration and you reach Kageokuri, a move that snares enemies by their shadow and bypasses block entirely — one of the most powerful move effects in any Shikai kit. Shadow punches above B tier once you hit that milestone.

Fire

Item: Inferno Ember · Based on Isshin Kurosaki
Rarity: Common

“Fire is the weakest Shikai in the game. Reroll it.”

Emblaze, Blazing Rend, and Adjourned Flame all lock you into melee range with almost no guard breaks. The base kit offers no reliable combo starters, no mobility, and no range. The Bankai adds Celsius Tank — up to six AoE stomps with guard breaks — which finally gives you a usable combo path. Everything before that milestone is a slog.

Fire is the only power in the game with no redeeming qualities before Bankai. If you’re early in progression and rolled Fire, an Ability Reroll is worth the grind. Don’t carry a fundamentally broken kit through early PvP.

Schrift Tier List

Five Schrifts exist in the current rerelease build. The gap between S and B tier is wider here than anywhere else in Paradox. Three Schrifts dominate. Two fall far behind.

TierPower
SFear, Explode, Deathdealing
AHeat
BPower

Fear

Item: Nightmare Crystal · Based on As Nodt
Rarity: Legendary

“Five seconds of invincibility frames is not a typo. Fear is the best Quincy power in the game.”

The base kit already works before Vollständig. All Seeing fires a guard-breaking fear projectile. Release sends an AoE fear wave with posture damage. Shiver seizes and ground-slams with a guard break. Then the Vollständig arrives.

F-Fear’s Instinct grants five full seconds of dodge frames. Nightmare places a demonic arm grab at your cursor that deals unblockable damage. Five seconds of i-frames in a PvP game isn’t a strong ability — it’s a power floor on an entire fight. Fear tops the Schrift rankings for both PvP and PvE.

Explode

Item: Blastcore · Based on Bambietta Basterbine
Rarity: Rare

“Explode is the best Rare power in the entire game — across all three power categories.”

Implant runs as a two-part move: you hit the opponent, then press Z again to detonate. The detonation bypasses block entirely. Power Surge fires an explosion blast with guard breaks. Rush delivers a devastating forward lunge. Every move deals real damage and forces opponent decisions.

The Vollständig adds Reishi Burst (fly up and drop bombs) and Shell Meteor (rapid-fire aimed impact bombs). The only caveat: the two-part Implant mechanic requires practice to land against skilled players. Log time in a private server until the timing becomes reflex.

Deathdealing

Item: Deathdealing Essence · Based on Nakk Le Vaar
Rarity: Legendary

“Deathdealing counters mobile players better than any other power in Paradox.”

Gift Bad prevents flashstep and slows movement speed while applying a guard break — one move shuts down the most common PvP escape tool in the game. Gift Ball kites with a ranged projectile. Gift Essence covers a ranged area. The Vollständig adds Gift Ring and Gift Bereich, which create zone-denial areas that control positioning.

The weakness is clear: Deathdealing lacks actual combos. The base moveset feels underwhelming in isolation until Vollständig unlocks. Pair this with a build that compensates for raw damage output and you have one of the strongest counter-pick options in ranked.

Heat

Item: Molten Heart · Based on Bazz-B
Rarity: Common

“Heat performs reasonably in both modes — but any S-tier Schrift outperforms it in a straight matchup.”

Combustion handles forward blasts. Inferno Stomp covers ground AoE. Burning Slide grabs and throws with a guard break. The Vollständig adds Heat Whips with posture damage. Heat works for PvE grinding and holds its own in casual PvP. It just doesn’t compete with Fear, Explode, or Deathdealing at high levels of play.

Power

Item: Titan Relic · Based on Meninas McAllon
Rarity: Common

“Power is the worst Schrift in the current build. Reroll it.”

Every move in the kit — One Two Punch, Death Stride, Ravage, Power Barrage, Demolish — locks you into melee range. Anything with range simply kites you indefinitely. Power has no tools to close distance, no projectiles, and no zone control. Against a patient opponent with any ranged kit, you will not win.

Resurrection Tier List

Resurrections hold the most surprising rarity inversions in Paradox. A Common power beats the only Legendary B-tier pick almost every match. Rarity means less here than in any other category — raw moveset quality decides everything.

PowerRarityBest For
GunnersLegendaryBest PvP
BatLegendaryBest PvE

S Tier Resurrections

Best Resurrections :Best damage ceilings and match-winning tools

Gunners

Item: Primera Fang · Based on Starrk
Rarity: Legendary

“Gunners converts your M1 attacks into ranged shots — and the counter skill alone makes it exceptional in PvP.”

Activating Gunners switches your M1 attacks to ranged shots that function as combo starters from distance. This mechanic breaks the close-range requirement that most Resurrection kits impose. Furious Kick counters an opponent attack and triggers a devastating blast. Cero Metralleta fires a guard-breaking flurry of explosive shots. Wolves releases hounds on the nearest opponent with guard breaks.

For PvP, the counter-into-blast sequence is the strongest single interaction in any Resurrection kit. Players who bait attacks and trigger the counter consistently dominate their matchups. Gunners rewards patience over raw aggression.

Bat

Item: Murciélago Core · Based on Ulquiorra Cifer
Rarity: Legendary

“Bat is the top pick for players who spend most of their time in PvE — and it still competes at a high level in PvP.”

Finalizando Cero hits fast and hard with guard breaks. Sonido Slashes uses a Sonido maneuver to chain a barrage with posture damage. Venganza creates a gravity orb that draws enemies in and implodes. Each move adds utility beyond raw damage — which makes Bat exceptional in mob farming scenarios where sustain matters.

M1 attacks heal in Resurrection form, adding constant sustain during extended skirmishes. Bat trades Gunners’ counter utility for stronger PvE performance and more forgiving combo windows. If you play solo PvE regularly, Bat edges ahead of every other Resurrection.

A & B Tier Resurrections

A & B Tier: Strong value picks — one rarity inversion to know

PowerTierReason
PantherAStrong pressure, all guard breaks
HeavenABest value (common)
DivinityBWeak despite Legendary rarity

Panther

Item: Pantera Fang · Based on Grimmjow
Rarity: Rare

“Every move guard breaks. Panther rewards aggressive, Hakuda-pairing players who pressure non-stop.”

Shallow Dance delivers a forward claw barrage. Claw Strike flash-steps to the opponent on hit, creating a built-in gap-closer that almost every other kit lacks. Gran Rey Cero leaps into the air and fires a grand cero with reiatsu rain. Guard breaks on every single move make Panther oppressive against opponents who can’t counter-pressure.

The ceiling is lower than Bat and Gunners — Panther can’t reach their raw damage output. Pair it with Hakuda stat moves and play aggressively to maximize what Panther does best. For newer players who want immediate impact without complex setups, this kit delivers the fastest learning curve in Resurrection.

Heaven

Item: Celestial Sigil · Non-Bleach Arrancar
Rarity: Common

“An 89% roll chance and A-tier performance make Heaven the best value pick in any Resurrection pool.”

Spear Shield summons a tornado of holy energy and spears with guard breaks. Divine Impale scatters on hit. Divine Spear delivers a mouse-aimable giant holy lance. The passive adds a damage boost and brief debuff immunity in team fights. Everything in the kit performs above its Common rarity.

The one weakness is mobility — all three moves offer zero gap-closing or escape options. Build your skill tree around mobility compensation and Heaven performs at A tier consistently. For a power you’ll roll almost every run, that payoff is exceptional.

Divinity

Based on Black Goku
Rarity: Legendary

“The only Legendary power in B tier. Reroll it.”

Energy Sweep, Death Ball, and Plasma Burst all deal solid damage with guard breaks or posture damage. But the kit lacks utility, the only ranged move is easy to dodge, and nothing provides mobility. Rolling Legendary rarity and landing Divinity is one of the more frustrating outcomes in Paradox.

Divinity has a 1% roll chance but underperforms Heaven, which drops at 89%. Don’t hold onto Divinity because it’s Legendary. Rarity does not equal power in this category. Reroll it.

Bankai & Vollständig

Unlocking your upgrade form is the most important progression milestone in Paradox. Requirements differ by race, and both paths demand significant time investment.

Bankai (Soul Reaper): Reach 705 Potential → get gripped 10 times by players of different races → defeat Kisuke → confront your Bankai Spirit in Soul Society → survive his trials.

Vollständig (Quincy): Reach 705 Potential → complete Yhwach quests (he spawns every 2 real-time hours in Wandenreich) → kill all 4 Lunarzz bosses → kill 20 Soul Reapers → kill 20 Arrancar players.

Timing Tip
Yhwach spawns on a fixed 2-hour cycle in Wandenreich. Plan your Vollständig grinding sessions around that timer. Waiting at spawn wastes hours — track the timer externally and log in when he appears.

Hollow-specific Resurrections follow a separate unlock path. Check dedicated Hollow progression guides for those steps — the Bankai/Vollständig requirements above do not apply.

FAQs

Which Resurrection should new players pick first?

Pick Panther if you want a forgiving, pressure-heavy kit that guard breaks on every move. Choose Bat for healing sustain and team utility in PvE. If you enjoy setups that play like puzzles, Gunners rewards that approach — but expect a steeper learning curve before you land the counter consistently.

How do I combo Panther Resurrection effectively?

Chain Hakuda into Z and use Shallow Dance when the enemy tries to flashstep. The Shallow Dance flashstep disable lasts three seconds — use that window aggressively. Practice the full combo in a private server or Steam test room until your timing stops requiring conscious thought.

Are Resurrections good for PvE?

Yes — most Resurrections hold their own in PvE. They trade some of the utility that Schrifts and Shikai provide for raw, reliable damage and pressure. Bat specifically excels in PvE thanks to M1 healing in Resurrection form, which makes extended mob farming sessions sustainable without consumables.

Does rarity determine power strength?

No. Rarity determines roll probability, not performance. Lightning (Rare) beats most Legendary Shikai in PvP. Heaven (Common) beats Divinity (Legendary) in almost every scenario. Explode (Rare) is the best Schrift in the game, ahead of two Legendaries. Focus your rerolls on the specific powers this guide marks as S or A tier — not on hitting Legendary rarity.

Where can I find patch updates and meta shifts?

Follow the official Paradox Discord meta threads and YouTube high-level match footage. A single patch can shift tier placements by a match or two. Track patch notes on Steam and test changes in private servers before adjusting your builds.
