Pokemon GO Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect: Eternatus Event Guide

Niantic is adding an extra layer of power to Pokémon GO with the introduction of a brand-new Adventure Effect tied to the Legendary Pokémon Eternatus. This feature will launch globally during the Dark Skies event, leading up to Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale, and is set to change how trainers approach Max Battles.

What Are Adventure Effects?

Adventure Effects are temporary, activatable bonuses triggered by certain powerful Pokémon attacks. Unlike standard moves, these effects can be used outside of regular battles, offering gameplay advantages during your ongoing Pokémon GO journey.

The latest addition is the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect, exclusive to Eternatus.

How to Unlock Dynamax Cannon

To access this new Adventure Effect, trainers must first capture Eternatus during the GO Pass: Max Finale encounter. The Eternatus obtained through this event will know the Charged Attack Dynamax Cannon.

Activating the Adventure Effect requires:

  • 5,000 Stardust
  • 30 Eternatus Candy

Once triggered, the effect boosts your Pokémon’s Max Moves in Max Battles for 10 minutes.

How the Boost Works

  • Locked Max Moves → Temporarily raised to Level 1
  • Max Moves at Level 3 → Increased to Level 4, offering a significant jump in power beyond a standard level-up.

Extending the Effect

The initial 10-minute duration isn’t the limit. You can extend Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect in 10-minute increments by spending more Stardust and Eternatus Candy.

  • Each activation can extend the timer up to two hours.
  • You can re-activate it multiple times, allowing up to 24 hours of continuous effect.

Note: Dynamax Cannon’s Adventure Effect cannot be active at the same time as any other Adventure Effect.
