Step-by-step unlocking process:
- Play until Main Mission 3: A New Life in Lumiose City.
- Meet Mable at the Pokémon Research Lab on the third floor.
- After unlocking Mable’s Research, you’ll gain access to Link Play via the in-game menu (press X).
- Inside Link Play, you’ll find the Mystery Gift option under “Link Trade.”
Once unlocked, you can freely access the Mystery Gift menu anytime you’re connected to the Internet.
