The Galaxy A55 is also reported to feature a metal frame, a triple rear camera setup, and a 6.5-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Exynos 1480 Processor:

The Galaxy A55 is set to feature the Exynos S5E8845 chipset, likely believed to be the Exynos 1480. The Exynos 1480 succeeds the Galaxy A54 Exynos 1380, offering a notable boost in performance.

In Geekbench tests, the Exynos 1480 within the Galaxy A55 scored 1,180 points in the single-core CPU performance test and 3,536 points in the multi-core CPU performance test. This signifies a significant improvement compared to the Galaxy A54’s Exynos 1380, which scored 1,108 and 2,797 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

The Exynos 1480 employs four high-performance CPU cores clocked at 2.75GHz and four power-efficient CPU cores clocked at 2.05GHz. It is also equipped with the RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU, offering enhanced graphics capabilities compared to previous Exynos iterations. While it’s not confirmed if the mid-tier Xclipse 530 GPU in the Exynos 1480 supports ray tracing for games, it is expected to deliver superior graphical performance.

Recently leaked images of the Galaxy A55 reveal a metal frame, a departure from the norm in the Galaxy A series. The phone boasts thinner bezels compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A54, indicating Samsung’s commitment to elevating the aesthetic appeal of its mid-range Galaxy A series.

The smartphone is expected to boast a 6.5-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a visually immersive and smooth user experience. The display also supports an in-display fingerprint reader for enhanced security.

The Galaxy A55 is reported to feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The smartphone also features stereo speakers, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
