Silksong Craftmetal Locations Guide – All 8 Spots and Uses

Last updated on October 8th, 2025 at 11:20 pm

Craftmetal is one of the most valuable resources in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Unlike Shell Shards or Rosaries, which are more common, Craftmetal is rare and directly tied to unlocking and upgrading Tools — Hornet’s equivalent to Charms. Because of this, players aiming to expand their arsenal and take on Pharloom’s toughest challenges will want to track down every single piece.

Craftmetal is a collectible material scattered across Pharloom. It isn’t just for show — each piece is tied to crafting or purchasing Tools from key NPCs such as the Forge Daughter, Jubilana, or the Twelfth Architect. Since Tools provide both offensive and defensive advantages, every Craftmetal you collect translates into new options for combat and exploration.

All Craftmetal Locations in Silksong

There are eight Craftmetal pieces throughout Pharloom. While some can be purchased from merchants, most are hidden in dangerous regions. Below is a complete breakdown of every location and what you’ll need to reach them.

1. Bone Bottom (Moss Grotto)

  • Location: Sold by Pebb, near Bone Bottom’s Bellway Station.
  • Cost: 60 Rosaries.
  • This is usually the first Craftmetal players can obtain. No special abilities required.

2. The Marrow

  • Location: Lower right side of The Marrow.
  • How to Get: From the nearby bench, head right until you see glowing explosive rocks. Strike them to open a secret tunnel—careful of spikes inside.
  • Tip: Return later with Cling Grip or Clawline for safer traversal.

3. Deep Docks

  • Location: In a chest behind a breakable barricade near the Forge Daughter.
  • How to Get: Access via the Far Fields entrance or use a Simple Key to unlock the ornate gate. Smash the wooden supports under the platform to open the chamber.
  • Hazard: Explosive flying enemies will ambush as you open the chest.

4. Blasted Steps

  • Location: Underground beneath the first bell challenge before Last Judge.
  • How to Get: Use Drifter’s Cloak to hover safely down the sandy shaft filled with Sandcarver worms, then head left to find the Craftmetal.
  • This is one of the trickier platforming sections, requiring precise movement.

5. Underworks (The Cauldron)

  • Location: Beneath the room where you obtain the Clawline ability.
  • How to Get: Defeat Trobbio and use the Whispering Vaults elevator to reach the Underworks, or descend from Whiteward.
  • Hazard: A group of Undercranks attacks immediately after collecting the item.
  • Tip: Collect this Craftmetal on your way to the Clawline to avoid repeating the area.

6. Choral Chambers – Songclave

  • Location: Sold by Jubilana in Songclave after completing her questline.
  • Cost: 180 Rosaries.
  • How to Unlock:
    1. Complete “The Wandering Merchant” wish.
    2. Donate 500 Rosaries for “Strengthening Songclave.”
    3. Rest and return—Jubilana will disappear.
    4. Finish “The Lost Merchant” wish to restore her shop.
  • Reward: Jubilana’s inventory now includes a Craftmetal.

7. Wisp Thicket

  • Location: At the end of a hidden upper path near Halfway Home in Greymoor.
  • How to Get: Use both Clawline and Faydown Cloak to reach the top-left tower. Navigate across spikes and fire wisp enemies to reach a concealed chamber.
  • This area also features wisp spawners and platforming traps—move carefully.

8. Putrified Ducts

  • Location: Far right of the Putrified Ducts, above a pool of clean water.
  • How to Get: Enter from the Fleatopia bench, then proceed east through ducts and toxic areas. Use the Faydown Cloak or Cling Grip to climb to the alcove containing the final Craftmetal.
  • The area becomes safer once the Flea Caravan relocates here later in the story.

Quick Tips for Collecting Craftmetal

  • Buy early, explore later: The two purchasable Craftmetals (Pebb and Jubilana) are the easiest to secure.
  • Prepare abilities: Many hidden Craftmetals are gated by progression skills like Clawline or Faydown Cloak.
  • Check for blockades: Several Craftmetals are behind destructible walls, so strike suspicious areas often.
  • Save Rosaries: Most Tools require Rosaries and Craftmetal, so farming currency is just as important as finding the metal itself.
