Skate Ill-Ledgible Challenge Guide – Grinds, Manuals & Flip Tricks

The Ill-Ledgible challenge in Skate’s Hedgemont neighborhood is one of the trickier session goals in the game. It asks players to prove their technical consistency with three demanding requirements: holding long manuals, hitting multiple grinds, and landing several triple flip tricks.

This session event is set around manny pads and ramps, and it measures your ability across three categories: manual distance, grind count, and triple flip tricks. Each goal contributes toward the final completion requirement of a 6,000-point total score, so pacing and execution both matter.

How to Manual 60 Meters

One objective requires players to manual for a combined 60 meters. The manny pads are clearly marked in yellow, and the triangular pad at the edge of the course is the best place to start.

  • Get set up: Push once or twice to build momentum.
  • Enter the manual: Slightly hold the right joystick downward to shift weight and lift the front wheels.
  • Maintain balance: Ride across the pad until momentum slows, then push again and continue.

Repeat this sequence until you reach the full distance. Remember that consistency is more important than speed here.

How to Hit All 8 Grinds in Ill-Ledgible

The challenge also demands eight grinds. Luckily, the same manny pads double as perfect grind rails.

  • Approach cleanly: Give yourself one or two pushes toward a pad edge.
  • Ollie at the edge: Jump and aim your board onto the lip to start the grind.
  • Control the exit: Ollie off when you’re ready to dismount.

You can cycle between pads to quickly rack up all eight attempts without needing complicated setups.

How to Land Six Triple Flip Tricks

The toughest requirement is to land six triple flip tricks. These demand precise control, and missing the timing will quickly end your run. There are two reliable methods depending on your control scheme:

With Classic Controls

  1. Build speed toward a small ramp.
  2. At the top, perform a kickflip (right joystick down, then up-left).
  3. Do not release the joystick. Keep holding it in the final diagonal position.
  4. Allow the board to flip three full times.
  5. Release the joystick just before landing.

With Streamlined Controls

  1. Push toward the incline for good airtime.
  2. At the peak, move the right joystick up-left for a kickflip.
  3. Keep holding the stick in that position until three flips complete.
  4. Let go as you prepare to land.

Pro Tip: You aren’t restricted to kickflips. Heelflips and pop shuv-its also work as long as the board rotates three times before you let go.

Completing manuals, grinds, and triple flips should almost cover the target. If you’re short on points, repeat your strongest trick combos or chain extra flips on the ramps until the meter clears 6,000.
