Slaps and kicks were exchanged between Himachal Pradesh CM’s security officer and Kullu’s Superintendent of Police (SP)
Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur’s security officer and superintendent of police (SP) of Kullu Gaurav Singh scuffle an over the stopping of the convoy of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari outside of Kullu airport. While the SP was slapping one of the CM’s security officers, another security officer kicked the SP.

When Gadkari noticed them standing on the road, he asked to stop the vehicle to meet them. He was joined by Chief Minister also. The security officer of Chief Minister from the Himachal Police Services and Kullu SP began bickering while Gadkari listened to public complaints. With the unplanned stoppage to the convoy from Gadkari to Chief Minister, the local police and the security forces have misunderstood each other.
A security officer was angry over the failure of Kullu police to control the protestors. He began to argue with SP. The argument escalated into clashes with SP. SP Gaurav Singh was kicked in front of the Chief Minister’s vehicle by another security officer.
On that occasion the locals who were there on the spot began to yell in favour of SP, “Sahab ko Kyon maar rah hai”, Why are you beating SP Sir.

In the video, the security officer of the Chief Minister seen arguing with SP Gaurav Singh and SP slapping the security officer of the Chief Minister. Other officers and cops rushed to intervene.
People are supporting SP Gaurav Singh, who has emerged as their hero after the crackdown of the drug mafia in the district. People claim that it was not the fault of the police, but rather of Gadkari, who stopped to interact with the crowd.
Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu left to spot to assess the situation, he stated, “Police Headquarters is seized of the incident that occurred during Union Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari’s visit to Kullu.” DIG, Central Range, Madhusudan, who is also on the spot, is investigating the matter.”
