The wastelands of Carcadia Burn are full of chaos, but none quite like the side mission “The Power Ballad of Rodd Vomit.” In this quest, you’ll be helping Lisa FullFolja revive her band Thrum Dumpster by recruiting a new frontman. Naturally, things don’t go as planned, and you’ll be caught in the middle of loud music, violent auditions, and a final betrayal.

How to Unlock the Mission
- Requirement: Complete the main mission A Lot to Process.
- Quest Giver: Lisa FullFolja.
- Location: The Couch Hole, at the Grindstone of the Worthy in Carcadia Burn.
Once you meet Lisa, she’ll explain the band’s singer Rodd Vomit is no more, and she’s looking for a replacement. Your job? Track down some “talented” Rippers and see who can fill his boots.
Step 1: Meet Lisa and Learn About the Digi-Dongle
- Speak with Lisa FullFolja to begin.
- She gives you a gadget called the Digi-Dongle, which will be essential for “recruiting” new band members.
Before you leave, Lisa demonstrates its effectiveness by having you subdue an angry singer, Wails Briskly. Fight her until her health drops, then use the dongle. This serves as your tutorial.
Step 2: Recruit the Three Candidates
Lisa sends you after three Rippers who could become Thrum Dumpster’s new vocalist. Each requires a bit of persuasion.
Sketch Calhoun
Location: Near the Arch of Radix vault, Grindstone of the Worthy.
- Fight through a camp of Rippers guarding his club. The main door is locked, so circle around to find the back entrance.
- Inside, you’ll encounter a violent mosh pit. At first, they’re harmless, but soon the crowd—and Calhoun himself—turn hostile.
- Defeat the waves of Rippers, then weaken Calhoun until you can use the Digi-Dongle.
Big Suck
Location: One Pumper refueling station, south of the Makeshift Chalet safehouse.
- En route, you’ll intercept a distress call about a Ripper ambush. Head to the gas station and clear the area.
- Inside, you’ll find Big Suck rocking out with an air guitar while his crew attacks.
- Take down his allies, then subdue Big Suck himself. Apply the Digi-Dongle when he’s weakened.
Crunch Tongue
Location: East of the Tendercage drill site, accessible via a small lake and canyon path.
- Crunch Tongue is hostile from the start, so clear his entourage first.
- He’ll then demand you blow the Horn That Blows, summoning waves of Pangolins. Defeat them alongside Crunch.
- Blow the horn again to summon a Badass Pangolin Mount with a rider—focus on this fight carefully.
- Once the chaos settles, weaken Crunch Tongue and use the Digi-Dongle.
Step 3: Return for the Sound Check
Head back to Lisa at The Couch Hole. A staged sound check begins with your three “recruits” performing.
However, Lisa quickly grows unimpressed and reveals her true intentions—she never wanted a replacement singer. Instead, she asks you to kill the talent.
Defeat Big Suck, Sketch Calhoun, and Crunch Tongue once again. Their abilities mirror the earlier fights, but now you’re dealing with all three at once.
Step 4: Wrap Up
After the battle, speak to Lisa one final time. She admits the entire recruitment process was staged for clout and that crushing the candidates’ dreams (and lives) was her plan all along. The mission then ends.
