Week 1 introduces the first two questlines—A New Journey and Friends Forever—which focus on stuffed animals, kids’ activities, and playful memories.
How to Start the Forever Friends Event
The event begins automatically once you load into Live Mode during the event period. Here’s how to get things going:
- Log in with your EA account.
- Launch The Sims 4.
- Load an existing save or start a new household.
- Enter Live Mode and unpause time.
- Within a few seconds, the event banner should appear in the top left of your screen.
If the quests don’t show up right away, return to the main menu, reload your save, and try again. Once the UI appears, you’ll be able to track quest progress and rewards.

All Week 1 Quests in The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event
Week 1 contains two questlines—A New Journey and Friends Forever. Most tasks require a Child Sim, though some can be completed by Sims of any age. Make sure your lot has the following before you begin:
- A stuffed animal (Pixel the Friendly Bear is free once you log in).
- A television.
- A toybox.
- An activity table (for Child Sims).
- A bed (child-sized or larger).
Optional tasks require the Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack if you want to use the Katy & Berry Sweet Treats Fabricator 3000.
A New Journey Quest Steps
The first questline centers around introducing your Sim to a new stuffed toy and interacting with it in different settings.
- Buy a Stuffed Animal
- Open Build Mode → Kids → Toys. Purchase any large plushie. Pixel the Friendly Bear also counts.
- Hug the Stuffed Animal
- Select the toy in Live Mode and choose Hug.
- Place a Stuffed Animal Near a TV
- Drag the plushie close to a television. It must be within a couple of tiles.
- Watch the Kids Network
- Have a Child Sim (or older) use the TV → Watch Channel → Kids Network.
- Buy a Toybox
- Find one in Build Mode under Kids → Toys.
- Place a Stuffed Animal Near the Toybox
- Move the plushie next to the toybox until the task registers.
- Play with a Toy from the Toybox
- Select the toybox → Play with Toy… and choose any option.
- Place a Stuffed Animal Near a Bed
- Position the plushie near a child or larger bed (toddler beds don’t count).
- Sleep or Nap
- Direct your Sim to Sleep or Nap in that bed.
Once completed, the first questline unlocks the next stage.
Friends Forever Quest Steps
The second questline focuses more on imagination, planning, and interaction.
- Eat Something
- Any meal works—grab a quick snack, cook a dish, or use a harvestable.
- Use a Toilet
- Direct your Sim to interact with any toilet.
- Ask a Stuffed Animal About Today’s Adventures
- Select the plushie and choose the special interaction.
- Tell an Adult About the Problem
- Have your Child Sim talk to a Young Adult or older Sim and select Tell About the Problem.
- Draw a Plan
- Child Sim: Use the activity table → Draw → Plan.
- Older Sim: Use an easel → Draw Plan.
- Share the Plan with a Stuffed Animal
- Select the plushie again and choose Share the Plan.
Optional Tasks (Businesses & Hobbies Pack)
- Buy the Katy & Berry Sweet Treats Fabricator 3000 from the Small Appliances menu.
- Craft Candy by selecting the machine and choosing Craft Candy.
These steps are not required for the Week 1 rewards but give extra flavor to the story.

Completing the quests grants several exclusive rewards. Pixel the Friendly Bear is free just for logging in, while the rest unlock as you finish tasks:
