vivo Y100 5G launched in Indonesia with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 80W charging

vivo has added a new member to its Y100 series, the vivo Y100 5G, which debuted in Indonesia today. The device is the fourth variant in the series, following the Y100, Y100 (China), and Y00i models. However, the vivo Y100 5G stands out from the rest with its upgraded specifications and features.

Enhanced Specs

The vivo Y100 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is the first 4nm processor in the Snapdragon 4 series. The chipset promises to deliver improved performance and efficiency, as well as support for 5G connectivity. The device also comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Impressive Display

The device features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth and vivid visuals. The display also has a punch-hole cutout for the 8MP selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Camera

On the rear, the vivo Y1005G sports a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens, along with a flicker sensor- helps in reduce the flickering effect caused by artificial lighting.

Software and Battery

The device runs on Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14. The software offers a user-friendly interface and various customization options. The device also packs a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports 80W fast charging.  

Price and availability 

The vivo Y100 5G is available in two color options: Black Onyx and Purple Orchid. The device is priced at IDR 3,899,000 ($249) for the 8/128GB model and IDR 4,199,000 ($269) for the 8/256GB model. The device is already on sale in Indonesia, and it is expected to launch in other markets soon.
