Contrary to expectations, Honor will incorporate a 160MP periscope zoom camera and the OV50K sensor.

The upcoming Honor Magic6 smartphone is set to feature a remarkable 160MP periscope zoom camera, as revealed by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo.

While the exact release date remains uncertain, the Honor Magic6 is anticipated to debut in China soon, with a subsequent global release.

As anticipation builds for the Honor Magic6, as tech enthusiasts eagerly await detailed specs, especially regarding the unique combination of camera technology and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

The Honor Magic6 is expected to boast the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with AI enhancements, indicating a commitment to cutting-edge technology and performance.

The main camera of the Honor Magic6 will debut with the OV50K sensor and a 1/1.3-inch sensor, comparable in size to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP main imager.

Camera Performance:  The OV50K sensor is expected to deliver high-quality images, enhanced by LOFIC technology.

LOFIC, or lateral overflow integration capacitor-based CMOS, represents a stacked sensor design similar to those found in devices like the Xperia 1 V and Oppo Find N3.

As of today, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is said to be the only rival of Honor Magic6, which will be launched with a camera rumored to have a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.

Following its predecessor (Magic5: 90mm periscope) launch in March of this year, the Honor Magic6 is poised to continue the brand’s tradition of unveiling flagship devices at regular intervals.
