Infinix Smart 8 Launched: A Budget Smartphone with a 90Hz Display and a 5000mAh Battery

The Infinix Smart 8 has been launched in the global market today (9 Nov 2023). It is a successor to the Smart 7, which was launched back in February. 

The Infinix Smart 8 is nearly identical to the Tecno Pop 8, with a glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame. It also supports dual SIM cards (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

Build and Design

It has 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1612 pixel resolution and 267 ppi density. The display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 500 nits.

Display

It features a 128GB of internal storage with the option to expand using microSDXC, and it comes with 8GB of RAM.

Storage and RAM

The device runs on Android 13 and is powered by the Octa-core Unisoc T606 chipset with Mali-G57 MP1 GPU.

Performance

It has dual-camera system with 13MP wide lens, 0.3MP depth sensor; and 8MP selfie camera. The camera features Ring-LED flash, HDR, and panorama, and it can record videos at 1080p@30fps.

The device supports various connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11, dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM radio, and USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support.
