Jio AirFiber vs. Airtel Xtreme AirFiber: Which wireless home WiFi service is best for you?

Wireless home WiFi services are becoming more popular in India; two leading players, Jio AirFiber and Airtel Xtreme AirFiber, offering fiber-like internet speeds over the air.

Jio AirFiber is currently available in eight cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune.

Airtel Xtreme AirFiber is only available in Delhi and Mumbai as of now, but plans to expand to other cities soon.

Jio AirFiber offers six plans, ranging from ₹ 599 to ₹ 3,499 per month, with speeds from 30 Mbps to 1 Gbps. All plans come with a free 4K set-top box and access to 14/ 16 OTT apps.

Airtel Xtreme AirFiber offers only one plan, priced at ₹ 799 + GST per month, with a speed of 100 Mbps. This plan does not include any OTT apps or a set-top box.

Jio AirFiber claims to offer 50% higher speed than Wi-Fi 6 routers, and supports up to 64 devices at a time.

Airtel Xtreme AirFiber also promises to deliver fiber-like internet speed over the air, and supports up to 32 devices at a time.

Jio AirFiber allows users to enjoy 4K content on their TVs with the Jio set-top box, and access a variety of OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and more.

In Airtel Xtreme AirFiber, users can stream HD content on their TVs with the Airtel Xstream Box, available at an additional cost of ₹ 1,499. (does include any OTT subscriptions).

If you want more speed, more choices, and more entertainment, you might prefer Jio AirFiber or If you want a simple and reliable service, you might prefer Airtel Xtreme AirFiber.
