Xiaomi Redmi 13C: A Budget-Friendly Smartphone with Impressive Features and Design

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 13 series, an entry-level phone, Redmi 13C, in Nigeria on November 10, 2023, which boasts a sleek design and powerful features.

It has a 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, featuring a 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and peak brightness of 600 nits.

Build and Design

Redmi 13C runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14, powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.


The device offers multiple variants, including 128GB/4GB RAM, 128GB/6GB RAM, and 256GB/8GB RAM.

Storage and RAM

Triple-rear camera: 50MP wide lens, 2MP macro lens, and 0.08MP depth sensor; and 8MP front camera. The camera features include LED flash and HDR, and it can record videos at 1080p@30fps.


The device supports Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, FM radio, 3.5mm jack, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port.

The smartphone is equipped with 5000mAh Li-Po battery. It supports 18W Type-C PD fast charging.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C, which is reportedly on sale in Nigeria, and is expected to arrive in other countries as well. The base 4GB/128GB variant costs NGN 98,100 (€114, ₹10,190).
