HoYoverse has officially unveiled the lineup of limited banners for Zenless Zone Zero’s upcoming Version 2.3 update, Memories of Dreams Bygone, launching on October 15, 2025. This patch not only expands the roster with three new characters but also features returning favorites, fresh events, and a spooky new chapter in New Eridu’s story.
Version 2.3 Banner Overview
The banners are split into two phases, each highlighting new Agents and reruns of popular characters:
Phase 1 – Wandering Night Lantern & Soar Into the Gentle Night
- Lucia (S-Rank, Ether Support) – A new Spook Shack member who manipulates Dream Points to recreate Ethereals and empower her team. Her ultimate skill Ether Veil: Wellspring boosts allies’ max HP and increases Sheer Force and Aftershock frequency.
- Vivian (S-Rank, Ether Anomaly) – Returning as a valuable support option, ideal for players who missed her earlier run.
- Komano Manato (A-Rank, Fire Rupture) – Another Spook Shack recruit. His kit focuses on Fire Rupture damage scaling with max HP, making him a strong and more accessible Rupture alternative to Yixuan.
Phase 2 – Alone in a Shared Dream & Fu-rocious Feline
- Yidhari (S-Rank, Ice Rupture) – A powerful new character whose Ice attacks always inflict Sheer Damage. She gains Sheer Force from max HP, with a high-risk, high-reward mechanic where her damage increases as her HP decreases.
- Ju Fufu (S-Rank, Fire Stun) – Returning to the spotlight after her Version 2.0 debut, offering crowd control and firepower for teams that rely on stuns.

New Story and Region – Timesworn Hills
Version 2.3 expands the narrative with the addition of Timesworn Hills, a new Hollow zone tied to haunting legends. Proxies are tasked with investigating a string of disappearances involving miners and Porcelumex employees. The region is rich in Lumite ore and filled with eerie ruins of research facilities where ghost stories and forgotten experiments linger.
This chapter leans into a Halloween-style atmosphere, making the Spook Shack’s arrival feel thematically fitting.
Events and Gameplay Additions
Alongside banners, the update delivers several new activities and system tweaks:
- Threshold Simulation – A new challenge mode where players deploy multiple squads through linked combat scenarios.
- When Dreams Remain Unfinished – A limited event introducing turn-based combat. Players control monsters with unique abilities, and completing the event guarantees Komano Manato as a free reward.
- SNAP! Shining Strike – The photography event returns with enhanced camera controls, filters, and frames.
- Soldier 0 – Anby Buffs – Adjustments to her kit boost her combat potential, making her a stronger option for teams.
Rewards and Quality-of-Life Updates
To celebrate the release, all players can claim:
- 600 Polychromes
- 10 Encrypted Master Tapes
- 10 Boopons
Additionally, new skins will be available for Vivian and Komano Manato, further expanding customization options.
The Special Program also teased several future Agents — Banyue, Dialyn, Zhao, and Ye Shunguang — who are expected to join the roster in later updates. HoYoverse continues to expand the Spook Shack faction and build on the success of Rupture as a Specialty, ensuring long-term depth for team compositions.
Version 2.3 marks a major turning point for Zenless Zone Zero. With two new S-Rank Agents and the first A-Rank Rupture unit, Proxies finally gain more options to experiment with high-offense builds. Combined with the eerie Timesworn Hills storyline, new gameplay events, and generous login rewards, this update has plenty for both new and veteran players to dive into.
