007 First Light Trophy Guide: All Trophies and How to Unlock Them

007 First Light keeps its Platinum firmly within reach for most players. With a difficulty rating of just 2/10 and zero missable or glitched trophies, this is one of the more approachable platinum hunts in recent memory. IO Interactive built the same methodical, layered structure that made Hitman so satisfying, and that design philosophy works just as well here. If you want every trophy, here is exactly how to get them.

Platinum Roadmap

Step 1: Story + Collectibles (About 20 Hours)

Follow a collectible guide alongside your main playthrough and knock out all 92 collectibles in a single run. The full breakdown is:

  • 36 Playing Cards
  • 23 Intel (MI6 Files)
  • 14 Mementos
  • 10 Postcards
  • 9 Legacy Items

Story trophies pop automatically at fixed chapter points and require no extra effort. Combat trophies such as Soft Landing, Positively Shocking, and Short Fuse should come naturally as you experiment with enemies, but Chapter Select lets you revisit any section if you miss one.

There is no collectible tracker by chapter inside the game. The Touchpad menu shows progress by collectible type only, and this tracker is unavailable during certain story sections. Keep this in mind as you play.

Note: Nine larger chapters feature online-only Challenges visible from the Touchpad menu. Challenge progress only tracks while playing online, but none of the Challenges are tied to any trophy. They only unlock cosmetic Suits for TacSim.

Step 2: TacSim Online Mode (About 30 Minutes)

TacSim Operations unlock after you finish the main story. Access this mode from the Title Screen. Escalations become available earlier, after Chapter 6: A Night Out. The four online trophies are quick:

  • Finish 3 Escalations to reach Tier 3 (1 to 3 minutes each)
  • Complete 1 Operation (about 3 minutes)
  • Reach Clearance Level 3

If you are not at Clearance Level 3 after completing the other TacSim trophies, replay the shortest Escalations and complete their Challenges for XP. Press Touchpad during a match to view active Challenges. Scroll over any combat objective to see a tutorial on the required inputs.

All Non-Hidden Trophies

These trophies contain no story spoilers. They cover collectibles, combat challenges, and TacSim objectives.

Combat Trophy Tips

These are the trophies that require deliberate setups. None are missable because Chapter Select lets you return to any encounter.

Soft Landing (Tackle an Enemy Over a Ledge)

Hold R2 on an enemy to push them backward. Keep holding the button rather than tapping it. When executed correctly, you and the enemy fall together over a ledge, knocking them out on impact. An early opportunity is Chapter 5: A New Home, Checkpoint 10: Search the Compound during the Steal the Flag objective.

Sleight of Hand (Disarm an Enemy by Shooting the Weapon from Their Hand)

This one pops automatically during the training section in Chapter 3: The Needle’s Eye. When an armed enemy aims at you, shoot their hand to disarm them. You should get this without trying.

Positively Shocking (Make an Enemy Taser Another Enemy)

This only works in sections where taser-equipped enemies appear. Keep both a taser enemy and one regular enemy alive. When the taser enemy charges their weapon, a bright blue targeting line appears. Grab a regular enemy by holding R2 and drag them directly into that blue line. Hold R2 for the full push animation rather than tapping it.

The best location is Chapter 8: All the Time in the World, Checkpoint 05: The Laundry. Enemies wearing a weapon holster and bulletproof vest carry tasers. Fight nearby enemies for about 30 seconds and the taser enemies will begin targeting you.

Short Fuse (Shoot an Enemy While They Are Throwing a Grenade)

This requires a grenade-throwing enemy. Wait until the enemy swings their arm back with the grenade in hand, then shoot them. They drop the grenade at their feet. Use L3 while aiming to trigger slow-motion and make the timing easier. You can also hold L1 to activate the Q-Watch, which also slows time.

Best locations: Chapter 10: The Past Never Dies, Checkpoint 11: Ambush or Chapter 11: Uninvited, Checkpoint 11: Webb Exhibition.

He’ll Live (Knock Out an Enemy by Shooting Them in the Legs)

Keep shooting an enemy’s legs until they go down. The finishing shot must land in the leg. A single hit is not enough — you need to deal enough damage to eliminate the enemy entirely through leg shots.

Firestarter (Push an Enemy Into a Fire Extinguisher)

Only available in sections with wall-mounted fire extinguishers. Hold R2 to push an enemy directly into one. The best location is Chapter 8: All the Time in the World, Checkpoint 05: The Laundry. A fire extinguisher sits in the back left corner of the entry area. Lure an enemy toward it and push.

Damp Squib (Hack a Grenade Before It Explodes)

After an enemy throws a grenade, look at it on the ground, hold L1 for the Q-Watch, and use the assigned hack button. This deactivates the grenade. The same locations that work for Short Fuse work here: Chapter 10, Checkpoint 11 or Chapter 11, Checkpoint 11.

Disarming Personality (Disarm an Enemy With a Laser)

The Laser Strap gadget unlocks during Chapter 9: Out of the Ashes. Equip it in the Q-Lab before a mission. Get detected by an armed enemy, wait for them to aim at you, then hold L1 and use the assigned laser button to shoot them. The Laser Strap requires electric charge from blue batteries. It also works on taser enemies.

Always Have an Exit Plan (Use a Gadget to Escape a Confrontation)

Enter a restricted area that has civilians. Walk in front of people to trigger a confrontation dialogue where you choose to bluff or comply. During this dialogue, hold L1 and use a Q-Watch gadget that distracts the target. Gadgets unlock in Chapter 4, so this opportunity opens up from that point forward.

TacSim Online Trophy Tips

All four TacSim trophies are straightforward and can be completed in under 30 minutes combined. You need an internet connection for all of them.

A Change of Pace and The readiness is all both involve Escalations, which unlock after Chapter 6: A Night Out. Go to Title Screen, then Tactical Simulations, and select any Escalation. The first one is a combat tutorial and takes about one minute per tier.

What if…? requires completing one Operation. Operations unlock after finishing the main story. The first Operation is a short replay of a combat section from the campaign with new objectives, and it takes about three minutes.

Keep moving forward requires reaching Clearance Level 3. You gain XP from Escalations, Operations, and in-match Challenges. You will likely hit Level 3 naturally while working through the other three TacSim trophies. If not, run the shortest Escalation again and complete its quick Challenges for fast XP.

Collectible Trophy Tips

There are 92 total collectibles split across five types. All four collectible trophies plus the Platinum require finding every single one.
