Moonlight Peaks Romance Guide: All Characters, Gifts & Marriage

Moonlight Peaks has at least 23 romanceable characters, and you can date more than one at a time if you choose. Building affection comes down to daily gifts, conversation, and eventually hugs, kisses, and dates once your relationship deepens enough.

How the Relationship System Works in Moonlight Peaks

The heart system tracks how far you can take a relationship with each character.

Check the relationships menu to see each character’s heart icons and confirm whether they’re dateable. A character capped at four heart icons is friendship-only, but if their icon set stacks three hearts with a trailing “…”, romance is on the table. Daily conversation plus a gift raises your relationship points, and picking something the character actually likes or loves pushes that gain even higher. The game keeps a record of what you’ve handed over in the past, tagging liked items with a star and loved items with a heart.

Friendship runs through the first four pink hearts. Hit two hearts and hugging unlocks, which feeds into the same daily affection tracker as gifts and conversation. Reach four hearts and you can pop the question of dating, and characters generally say yes on the spot. Dating swaps hugs for kisses and opens up extra dialogue tied to gift-giving.

Dating also unlocks dates themselves. Ask a partner out and the actual date happens the following in-game day, built around a shared activity like arranging flowers or working clay at the pottery wheel. You don’t always have to initiate either, since a partner can invite you out on their own.

Every Romanceable Character in Moonlight Peaks

Romance options in Moonlight Peaks span several supernatural races, and you’ll unlock most of them naturally by progressing through the story.

  • Vampires: Mina, Evan, Elvira, Orlock, Samael
  • Witches: Fiona, Noel, Sabrina, Luna
  • Werewolves: Saga, Ludo, Ridge
  • Seers: Aras, Dragan, Alina
  • Other or unconfirmed types: Llemi, Persephone, Winston, Kim, Rei, Tae, Jada, Death

Some characters, like Orlock, show up very early in the game, while others need more story progress to unlock. The full romance roster is confirmed on the game’s official Steam store page, and more secret romance options may still surface as players continue exploring the town.

Looking across the list, Purple Tulip and Blood Grape land as a good gift for nearly every character, which makes them a reasonably safe default while you’re still figuring out someone’s actual favorite. Common Mushroom, by contrast, sits at neutral for almost the whole cast, so it’s worth skipping once better options are available.

Llemi, Kim, Rei, and Tae are also confirmed romance candidates, but no gift preference data is available for them yet.

Marriage in Moonlight Peaks

You can propose once a relationship hits eight hearts, split evenly between four pink and four red.

Finish a date once you’ve hit that eight-heart mark and a proposal option appears for that character. Accepting leads into picking your wedding day, and the only rule is a two-day gap minimum after the proposal, with no cap on how far out you can push it. Locking in the date also unlocks new wedding outfits at Third Eye Threads, the clothing shop, which you can put on right away or hold onto until the ceremony itself. There’s no risk of forgetting the wedding, either, since your cat brings it up that morning no matter what you’re wearing at the time.

Getting married doesn’t overhaul the game in a major way. You earn an achievement, gain new dialogue lines with your spouse, and your spouse occasionally shows up at your house at night.

How to Break Up and Divorce in Moonlight Peaks

Relationships and marriages in Moonlight Peaks aren’t permanent if you change your mind.

Llemi handles the undoing, found near their house in the map’s top right and reachable only after you unlock swimming in the main story. Cancelling a relationship or marriage through Llemi doesn’t come with a real punishment since the game frames it as magic rather than drama, but the other person does go into a “Hurt” state and stops talking to you for a few days. Once that period passes, their heart total drops back to four, wiping the relationship progress as though the two of you never dated.  Play Now!
