Unlike standard quests you receive from traders, this one only appears after you physically discover an item inside the world. That means you won’t see it in your task list until you track down the note connected to it.

To start the Unheard quest, you first need to pick up the quest item. For that, head to the Streets of Tarkov map. The location you’re looking for is the TerraGroup building, which sits right across from the Pinewood Hotel. Once you reach the spot, you’ll see the entrance with broken gates that lead inside
How to Start the Unheard Quest
The quest begins the moment you pick up and read a single document located inside a TerraGroup office. Here’s the full walkthrough:
1. Go to Streets of Tarkov
The quest item only spawns in one place, and that location lies on Streets. Make sure to bring a secure container space if you want to guarantee extraction with the item.
2. Find the TerraGroup Building
Your destination is the TerraGroup office, which sits directly opposite the Pinewood Hotel. If you’re approaching the hotel’s entrance, the TerraGroup complex will be right across the street.
3. Enter Through the Damaged Front Gate
Move past the crashed or parked vehicle outside and head toward the broken gates. This leads into the building’s main corridor system.
4. Take the First Right
Once inside, turn right immediately into a long, narrow hallway. This path leads you to a small hidden office.
5. Locate the Small Office on the Left
Continue down the hallway until you see a single room on the left. This room contains a desk setup with a computer and other office equipment.
6. Pick Up the Note on the Desk
On the table—next to the monitor or near the filing cabinet—you’ll find a quest note. This is the trigger item for The Unheard.
7. Read the Item to Unlock the Quest
After picking it up, open your inventory and read the document. Once you do, The Unheard will appear in your task list automatically.
