How to Get All Gorgofex Upgrades in Black Ops 6 Zombies – Complete Guide

The Gorgofex makes its debut in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Reckoning, the fifth and final map of the mode. Designed as a living Wonder Weapon, it pulses with Dark Aether energy and features a mix of organic traits drawn from plants, fungi, and insects. Its unique design allows it to fire in rapid single shots or unleash a charged blast that creates a gravitational field, suspending enemies before slamming them down. In Reckoning, the Gorgofex can be upgraded along two ways, each tied to a pivotal story decision that changes the fate of key characters.

  • How to unlock the Gorgofex N upgrade (Save Panos / Kill Blanchard)

How to Get the Base Gorgofex in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Before chasing any upgrades, you’ll need the standard Gorgofex. The process involves puzzle-solving, enemy luring, and a boss fight.

1. Unlock Pack-a-Punch

  • Climb to the top of the second tower.
  • Activate the particle accelerator.
  • This gives you access to the rest of the upgrade sequence.

2. Crack the Secret Lab Code

  • Visit the T1 Mutant Research Lab and find two flashing computers—one behind Richtofen’s family, one left of Deadshot.
  • Each screen shows a word. Take the first letter of each to form a chemical element symbol (e.g., “Bellose” + “Porative” → BP, which corresponds to Lead as PB).
  • Find its atomic number (Lead = 82) and add a zero at the front (082).
  • Enter this three-digit code upstairs to unlock the Secret Lab.

3. Collect the Cyst

  • Inside the lab, weaken a zombie until a vermin spawns.
  • Lead the vermin to the test tube, weaken it, and let the portal absorb it.
  • Repeat for two more vermin, then three zombies.
  • Once all are absorbed, collect the cyst.

4. Evolve the Cyst

  • Go to the Quantum Computing Lab.
  • Let the cyst drain Aetheric Floral health from three Aether trees (yellow plants).
  • After the third tree, the cyst evolves in your inventory.

5. Defeat the Uberlouse and HVT

  • Head to the T2 Dark Entity Containment Room.
  • Activate four computers in quick succession to trigger a power surge.
  • This spawns the Uberlouse—shoot off its shoulder pads, then lure it onto the pressure plate before the Forsaken.
  • The Forsaken will possess it, creating a High-Value Target (HVT).
  • Defeat the HVT and interact with the dropped blood to fuse it with your evolved cyst.
  • The Gorgofex spawns—pick it up.

How to Get the Gorgofex C Upgrade in Black Ops 6 Zombies (Save Blanchard / Kill Panos)

Choosing this path helps Blanchard and eliminates Panos, rewarding you with a lightning-powered blue Gorgofex.

  1. Speak to Blanchard
    • Go to the T1 Executive Suite (top of T1 tower) and interact with the metal door on the north wall.
  2. Trigger the Maintenance Klaus Event
    • In the T1 Project Janus Reception (spawn), press the uncovered red button.
    • Defend the Maintenance Klaus as it repairs a terminal.
    • Once complete, the left elevator shuts down, leaving the route to the Mutant Research Labs.
  3. Access Quantum Computing Core
    • From the Mutant Research Lab, drop through the floor hole into the Quantum Computing Core.
    • Glide down the elevator shaft, hitting red buttons along the way to re-activate the elevator.
  4. Free Panos and Claim the Upgrade
    • Inside the Core, kill blue-eyed zombies until the blue orbs gather at the central console.
    • Interact with Panos to transfer his soul into the Gorgofex, ending him.
    • The Gorgofex transforms into Gorgofex C, firing chain lightning bolts.

How to Get the Gorgofex N Upgrade in Black Ops 6 Zombies (Save Panos / Kill Blanchard)

This “darker” route aids Panos, sacrifices Blanchard, and turns the Gorgofex into an acid-firing toxic variant.

  1. Speak to Blanchard
    • Again, go to the T1 Executive Suite and interact with his door to start the chain of events.
  2. Gather Required Items
    • Strauss Counter: In the Quantum Computing Lab, on the central Aether reactor.
    • Vial: In the T2 Android Assembly Room, locate the high-energy zone using the Strauss Counter and shoot the nearby box with a charged Gorgofex shot.
    • Clean Hood: In the T1 Bioweapons Lab (same room as the cyst spawn).
    • PC Fan: In the Forsaken Room (T2 Dark Entity Containment), left of the Arsenal station.
    • Wire & Tubing: Outside the Quantum Computing area, near a blue generator.
  3. Assemble the Essence Extractor & Survive Lockdown
    • Return to Blanchard’s door, assemble the device, and insert the vial.
    • Survive the 90-second lockdown against waves of zombies.
    • After the lockdown, pick up the vial—it drains your health as you carry it, so rush it back to the T1 Bioweapons Lab.
  4. Craft the Gorgofex N
    • After Blanchard’s life force is captured, carry it back to the T1 Bioweapons Lab.
    • Place it where you picked up the cyst to forge Gorgofex N, which launches corrosive acid rounds.

Gorgofex C vs Gorgofex N – Which Should You Choose?

  • Gorgofex C – Better for crowd control and chaining damage between enemies, thanks to its lightning arcs.
  • Gorgofex N – Deals steady damage over time with acid pools but may feel weaker for high-round crowd clearing.

Both can be Pack-a-Punched for improved stats, so your decision mainly depends on whether you want burst crowd control or damage-over-time effects. Play Now!
