Emotes are accessed directly through your in-game menu, and the input is slightly different depending on your platform.
Step-by-Step
- Open your inventory or pause menu.
- Press the emote command shown on the right side of the screen:
- Triangle on PlayStation
- Y on Xbox
- 1 key on PC (or click the emote icon with your mouse)
- This opens the Gesture & Prattling Pate menu.
- Select the emote you want to perform, confirm, and your Nightfarer will immediately act it out.

Prattling Pates are voice-based emotes that let your character speak preset lines such as:
