Unlike the combat-heavy operations or multi-region quests, this one focuses more on tracking and inspecting clues for Tian Wen.
In Marked for Death, Tian Wen tasks you with investigating one of her hidden caches in the Buried City. The goal is to confirm whether it’s been tampered with. You’ll be exploring a relatively quiet area, meaning fewer hostile encounters with Arcs or scavenging players compared to the city center.
There’s no extraction required for this mission—once you complete the investigation, it auto-completes.
Marked for Death Quest Objectives
Your quest log lists two main objectives:
- Reach the Su Durante Warehouse in the Buried City.
- Search for Tian Wen’s cache and follow the clues.
These steps can be completed in a single run without leaving the area.
Step 1: Reach Su Durante Warehouse
Start by heading toward the north-western outskirts of the Buried City. The Su Durante Warehouse complex is located here, away from the main cluster of buildings and patrol routes.
Approach the warehouse from the top-left corner of the compound. You’ll recognize it by its tall concrete walls and scattered containers nearby. This area is relatively safe—ideal for quick movement and minimal resistance.
Step 2: Find Tian Wen’s Cache
Once you reach the warehouse, go around the western exterior wall instead of entering through the main doors. You’ll spot a large yellow-marked cache crate resting near the wall. This is the stash you need to inspect.
Interact with the crate to collect the first set of clues. Doing so triggers the next phase of the quest automatically.
Tip: Keep an eye on your surroundings. Other players often pass through here looking for loot, so make sure to complete your interaction quickly.
Step 3: Follow the Footprints
After investigating the cache, look closely at the ground nearby—you’ll notice a set of footprints leading away from the warehouse. Follow them westward; they’ll guide you through a sandy corridor with scattered wreckage.
At the end of this short trail, you’ll find a half-buried metal box sticking out of the sand. Interact with it to finish the investigation. This marks the end of the Marked for Death quest.
Step 4: Extract Rewards
While the quest completes automatically, you’ll need to extract safely to bring your rewards back to your Workshop. If you’re still in the area, it’s best to head toward a nearby extraction point once the mission updates.
