Hollow Knight Silksong All Tools Locations & Full Tools List

In Hollow Knight: Silksong, Hornet’s journey through Pharloom introduces a brand-new system that replaces the Charms from the original game. Instead of charms, Hornet can equip Tools—special items that grant new attacks, passive buffs, and exploration advantages. Each Tool is color-coded and tied to Crests, meaning the number and type of Tools you can use depend on which Crest is equipped.

How Tools Work

  • Red Tools – Offensive weapons and traps. They consume resources with each use but can be replenished at benches or with Shell Shards.
  • Blue Tools – Passive abilities that grant defensive or support buffs. They remain active as long as equipped.
  • Yellow Tools – Utility upgrades that improve exploration, resource gathering, or map awareness.

Hornet’s Crests determine which colors can be slotted. To expand Tool slots further, players need Memory Lockets, which unlock additional spaces on each Crest.
