The Halloween season has arrived in Grow a Garden, and with it comes one of the game’s most feature-rich limited-time events — the Ghoul Garden Halloween Event. This spooky celebration lets players fill the Witch’s Cauldron, dig up treasures beneath the Dead Tree, and shop for Halloween-exclusive pets, seeds, and decorations using the new Candy Corn currency.

Event Overview

  • Event Name: Halloween Event (Ghoul Garden)
  • Start Date: October 11, 2025
  • End Date: November 1, 2025
  • Main Currency: Candy Corn
  • Key NPCs: Witch, Jack-O-Lantern, and the Dead Tree
  • New Mechanics: Witch’s Cauldron, Digging, Dead Tree Quests, and Halloween Market

This year’s event expands beyond just festive cosmetics. Players can now experience limited-time weather, earn exclusive seeds, and discover mutations like Ghostly, Spooky, and Vamp that dramatically boost plant value.

How to Earn Candy Corn

Candy Corn is the main currency of the event, used to buy Halloween seeds, pets, and cosmetics from the Spooky Market. There are two main methods to earn it:

1. Fill the Witch Cauldron

At the heart of the event lies the Witch NPC. Speak to her to donate crops via either “Submit Held Plant” or “Submit All Fruit.”

Each contribution increases the cauldron’s progress bar, visible nearby. Once it reaches 100%, all participating players receive rewards based on how much they helped.

The Witch’s Cauldron enters a 2-minute cooldown after filling, so timing your contributions with other players is key. Occasionally, she also triggers spooky weather effects across the island.

2. Donate to the Ancient Jack-O-Lantern

Every two hours, the Jack-O-Lantern NPC appears near the Witch for ten minutes. Players can exchange Halloween-type crops or mutated plants for more Candy Corn, Spooky Eggs, or Pumpkin Crates.

The higher the plant rarity or mutation value, the better your rewards. However, the Jack-O-Lantern is mischievous — there’s a small chance he’ll scare you instead of rewarding you.

The Dead Tree & Gravedigger Mini-Game

During Week 2, the Witch occasionally disappears, replaced by a Dead Tree that grants special quests. Completing its objectives rewards you with additional Candy Corn, gear boxes, and Halloween items.

  • Visit the Market promptly: Each stall appears only for 15 minutes every hour — prepare Candy Corn beforehand.
  • Use the Great Pumpkin strategically: Its Ghostly mutation spreads passively to nearby plants, increasing your harvest multiplier.
  • Join servers with active players: Cauldron filling is faster with more contributors, unlocking group-wide rewards.
