The myth activates automatically the first time you enter Lake Hamana.
- Daidara Bocchi rises from the lake and begins attacking the area.
- Nekomata appears and warns you that the yokai is too dangerous to fight directly.
- The game tasks you with finding a way to calm and seal Daidara Bocchi.
From this moment onward, Lake Hamana remains under constant threat until you complete the myth.
How to Reach Horie Castle Safely
From the lake entrance, your goal is to reach Horie Castle, which holds the shrine used to seal Daidara Bocchi.
- Head right from the starting point.
- Move forward toward the distant archway leading to the castle.
- Use large rocks and golden crater formations as temporary cover.
- Keep moving. Daidara Bocchi destroys cover if you stay still too long.
- Ignore minor enemies when possible, as Daidara Bocchi’s attacks can eliminate them for you.
Once you pass between two tall rock formations, the hidden archway to Horie Castle becomes visible.
Activate the Shrine and Prepare Inside Horie Castle
After entering the castle grounds:
- Activate the Shrine immediately.
- Clear nearby enemies so they do not follow you deeper inside.
- Proceed into the ruined structure and descend toward the docks.
- Defeat the yokai guarding the lower level.
- Move upstairs and activate the next Shrine.

- Walk all the way back to the empty pedestal.
