Shared Watch runs for a limited window and applies globally across all maps. You cannot opt out of it, and you cannot speed through it with PvP kills. Progress comes from one thing only: engaging Arcs.
Shared Watch Event in ARC Raiders
Shared Watch is a PvE-focused global event introduced in ARC Raiders Update 1.15.0. During the event period, the game disables merit rewards for PvP encounters. While PvP still exists, it offers no contribution toward event progress.
Instead, the event encourages players to hunt Arc enemies across every map and extraction run.
Key rules are simple:
- The event applies to every topside deployment
- PvP gives no merits during the event
- Only Arc combat advances reward progress
- Rewards unlock in fixed merit milestones
This structure pushes squads and solo players to fight Arcs efficiently rather than chase other Raiders.
How to Earn Merits in the Shared Watch Event
Merits drive all progress in the Shared Watch event. You earn them directly through Arc combat, not looting or player kills.
You gain merits by:
- Damaging Arc enemies
- Destroying Arc enemies
- Assisting in Arc kills
Every 100 XP converts into one merit. The more consistently you engage Arcs, the faster you move through the reward track. Joining ongoing Arc fights also helps, since assist damage still counts.
