Arc Raiders Update 1.6.0 Patch Notes and Fixes

Update 1.6.0 arrives as a small but important maintenance patch for Arc Raiders, landing just ahead of the large Cold Snap update. While this isn’t a content-heavy drop, it plays a crucial role in stabilizing the game, tightening level boundaries, and refining collision systems so players get a smoother, fairer experience.

This patch also comes with a schedule change from Embark, setting expectations for how updates will roll out during the holiday period.

Key Fixes in Arc Raiders Update 1.6.0

Update 1.6.0 focuses entirely on technical improvements and exploit prevention rather than gameplay adjustments. These fixes target some lingering terrain issues, collision faults, and visibility problems that previously affected both exploration and combat.

Here are the confirmed changes from Embark’s official notes:

Boundary & Terrain Fixes

Several locations received adjustments to prevent unintended traversal or exploit routes:

  • A zipline on Stella Montis that allowed players to leave the playable area has been removed.
  • A vaulting issue at Blue Gate that caused players to clip through a wall and fall out of bounds has been corrected.

Collision & Cover Improvements

Combat reliability is strengthened with improved material behavior:

  • Multiple objects with incorrect materials have been fixed so they now properly block bullet fire and ARC vision.
  • A collision gap at the Spaceport Launch Tower has been patched to stop enemies from shooting through a thin wall.

These fixes tighten up combat flow and prevent frustrating, unfair deaths caused by faulty geometry.

Update Cadence Change Going Forward

Alongside bug fixes, Embark also outlined how update timing will shift over the next several weeks. According to the developers:

No More Weekly Thursday Patches

Since launch, the team maintained a weekly Thursday patch cycle to quickly address critical issues. With the game stabilizing, this cadence is ending.

New Patch Day: Tuesdays

Both updates and store rotations will now target Tuesday releases, aligning all adjustments into one predictable weekly rhythm.

Holiday Break & January Return

As winter holidays approach, the studio is taking a short break. During this time:

  • Critical issues will still be monitored and fixed where needed.
  • Full update production returns in January, bringing more substantial patches.

Cold Snap Update Coming Next

Update 1.6.0 also serves as groundwork for the much larger Cold Snap patch arriving next Tuesday. Embark notes that this upcoming release will deliver a significant batch of fixes and new content.

Expect new features, balance tweaks, and winter-themed additions when that event goes live.
