Date Everything is a quirky, offbeat dating sim filled with appliances you can romance. But one trophy stands out for being the exact opposite of success: the “Game Over” achievement. This one is earned by dying in the game, which sounds strange for a dating sim, but that’s the point. Here’s a simple walkthrough on how to unlock it without derailing your full completion goals.

What Is the “Game Over” Achievement?
This achievement unlocks when your character dies, which only happens during one very specific event: the Dishy boss fight. It’s a short, missable path that lets you see a different ending and pick up a unique trophy along the way.
Tip: Don’t worry. You can reload your previous save after dying. The game autosaves right before the boss fight.
All Trophies & Gamerscore Values
Here’s a quick look at some trophies that tie into the Dishy event:
Trophy | Requirement | Points |
---|---|---|
Game Over | Lose the fight against Dishy | 15 G / Bronze |
Touch Grass | Leave the house on Day 1 | 5 G |
Speed Run | Finish in under 15 minutes | 50 G / Silver |
Boss Form | Win the Dishy fight | 15 G / Bronze |
You can chain some of these together with a smart save/reload strategy.
Who Is Dishy?
Dishy is the very first appliance you meet. He’s a dishwasher with personality – a chatty kitchen buddy who offers you updates and asks you to connect him online. At first, he seems harmless, but talk to him a few times and things start to feel a little off.
How to Start the Dishy Fight
This fight doesn’t just start randomly. You have to talk to Dishy multiple times and follow a specific dialogue path. Here’s what to do:
- First talk – Let Dishy finish his welcome chat and set a password.
- Second talk – Choose any of the four password options. We recommend picking one ending in “840” or “640” because they’re easier to remember.
- Third talk – Dishy will ask for your password. Enter it to hear about his updates.
- Fourth talk – Select the following replies:
- I am not so sure about this
- I’m calling Valdivian support
- No, I’m calling them!
- Val, my dishwasher is trying to get online and infect me with malware
- I’d like to turn off the feature where Dishy asks me to connect
- There’s no Dishy, sorry. I mean can I stop the dishwasher from notifying me?
- Yes, please!
- Looks good, thank you
- Fifth talk – Dishy gets aggressive. Respond with:
- No, I’m okay
- You are going too far with this
- You can’t be doing this
- There’s something wrong with you, Dishy
After that, Dishy snaps. He blames you for everything and starts a fight.
How to Lose the Fight (On Purpose)
The easiest way to unlock the trophy is to lose on purpose. During the boss fight:
- Keep choosing “Call for Help” every turn.
- If you haven’t made many friends, no one will show up to help, and you’ll skip your turn.
- Dishy will keep hitting you until your health drops to zero.
Once you die, the game ends and the achievement unlocks. Then you’ll go back to the main menu, where you can reload your save and continue like nothing happened.
What Happens After You Die?
When the screen fades out and credits finish, you’ll return to the main menu. Your autosave from just before the Dishy fight remains intact, allowing you to replay the battle—this time to win and earn the “Boss Form” achievement, if desired.
Dying in this encounter doesn’t lock you out of any other achievements long-term. It’s a one-off path with a clean exit and is safe to explore even during your main completion run.
Related Trophies & Efficiency Tips
The Dishy fight is also a great place to unlock a few other trophies:
- “Touch Grass” – Just leave the house on Day 1.
- “Speed Run” – If you do everything quickly and go straight to Dishy, you can earn this and Game Over together.
Plan your path and save beforehand to knock out multiple trophies in one go.
