Behaviour Interactive has unveiled Sinister Grace, the 37th chapter of Dead by Daylight. This update dives deep into Thai folk horror, introducing a grotesque new Killer, a bold new Survivor, and fresh gameplay mechanics that push the asymmetrical horror formula in chilling directions.

Sinister Grace takes inspiration from Southeast Asian legends, focusing on the terrifying Krasue—a skinless spirit that manifests as a floating head trailing entrails. This interpretation blends cultural folklore with the series’ trademark body horror, creating one of the most visually unsettling Killers the game has ever seen.
Paired against this nightmare is Vee Boonyasak, an energetic drummer from the punk band Axekick. Her charisma and road-tested resilience stand in stark contrast to the Krasue’s cursed existence, making their connection both musical and tragically intertwined.
The Killer: The Krasue
Before her transformation, the Krasue was Burong Sukapat, a gifted opera singer who sacrificed her body in exchange for an extraordinary voice. The bargain left her cursed, tearing free from her flesh each night to hunt in grotesque fashion.
Killer Power – Unbodied Flesh
The Krasue’s gameplay centers on switching between two forms:
- Body Form: Standard movement, with the ability to Regurgitate a Leeching Gland that infects Survivors.
- Head Form: Faster traversal as a floating head, attacking with the vicious Intestinal Whip.
Survivors struck build up a Leech Meter, progressing from infection to injury and eventually becoming Broken, creating layered pressure across the map.

Killer Perks
The Krasue comes with three unique perks:
- Hex: Overture of Doom – Curses the farthest generator, transferring the Terror Radius to it while granting Undetectable.
- Ravenous – Rewards hooking all Survivors at least once by rendering them Exposed.
- Wandering Eye – Reveals nearby Survivor auras during chases, helping identify weaker targets.
The Survivor: Vee Boonyasak
Vee’s journey into the Fog begins during a climactic drum solo at an abandoned opera house—once Burong’s stage. Drawn into the Entity’s realm, she brings her punk energy and road-life stamina into every trial.
Survivor Perks
Vee’s perks emphasize stamina, teamwork, and improvisation:
- Ghost Notes – Faster recovery from Exhaustion, with scratch marks disappearing more quickly.
- One-Two-Three-Four! – A band-style performance that boosts nearby Survivors with bonus skill checks.
- Road Life – Earn tokens from Great Skill Checks while injured, then spend them for accelerated healing.
Release Date and Availability
Sinister Grace launched on September 23, 2025, alongside patch 9.2.0. The DLC is available for $7.99, or can be purchased using 1,000 Auric Cells or 18,000 Iridescent Shards.
The chapter is accessible on Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Unlike some previous chapters, it does not add a new map, focusing instead on the intertwined stories of Burong and Vee.

While licensed content like Resident Evil and Stranger Things often grabs headlines, Dead by Daylight is at its best when it explores original horror. Sinister Grace highlights this strength by bringing underrepresented cultural myths into the spotlight, blending folklore with mechanics designed to test both Killers and Survivors in new ways.
