If you are planning to pull for her, this guide covers everything you need: her kit, playstyle, materials, and whether she is worth building.

Prune Overview

Prune is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user designed as a sub-DPS buffer. She focuses on Swirl reactions and supports the team with consistent off-field damage.

Quick Stats:

  • Rarity: 4★
  • Element: Anemo
  • Weapon: Catalyst
  • Role: Sub-DPS / Buffer
  • Scaling: ATK-based
  • Base HP: 9,679
  • Base ATK: 220
  • Base DEF: 580
  • Bonus stat: 24% ATK
  • Region: Nod-Krai

She fits best in teams that rely on elemental reactions, especially Swirl-focused setups.

Prune Kit Explained

Prune’s kit looks complex at first, but it becomes very simple once you understand the core idea:

Trigger Swirl → Convert attacks → Boost team damage

Core Playstyle

  • Use Skill to trigger Swirl
  • Get Elemental Conversion
  • Use Burst for off-field damage
  • Buff team based on ATK

Elemental Skill (Main Mechanic)

Prune deals AoE Anemo damage. If she triggers a Swirl reaction, her skill upgrades for a short time.

This upgraded version:

  • Converts damage into the Swirled element
  • Deals stronger elemental damage
  • Improves her DPS potential

This is the core of her gameplay loop.

Elemental Burst (Off-Field Power)

Her Burst summons a Witchlure Bell that:

  • Follows your active character
  • Deals AoE Anemo damage continuously
  • Triggers Swirl reactions automatically

This allows Prune to:

  • Deal damage even when off-field
  • Support your main DPS without staying active

How her kit flows: Use the Skill to absorb a strong off-element (Pyro, Hydro, Electro, Cryo), then activate the Burst. The Bell keeps Swirling that element off-field, continuously spawning bonus Oathhammers and triggering the team ATK buff from Passive 3 — all while you play other characters.

Passive Abilities (Why She’s Strong)

Prune’s strength comes from her passives:

Passive 1 — Tinker-Tink, Clank, and Bang!

10% chance to craft an extra regional talent material of the same rarity when using the crafting table. A useful quality-of-life perk for players who grind talent books.

Passive 2 — Verdict and Punishment

During the Burst, each time the Witchlure Bell’s Swirl triggers, it summons a Banehunter Oathhammer that deals 150% of Prune’s ATK as the corresponding Elemental type. This makes high ATK investment directly rewarding.

Passive 3 — Tolling Synchronicity

After the converted Oathhammer hits an enemy, nearby allies gain Tolling Rally for 5 seconds. Every point of Prune’s ATK above 1,000 increases those allies’ damage by 0.01%, up to a cap of 35% bonus damage. Stacking Prune’s ATK past 1,000 delivers real payoff for the whole team.

Passive 4 — Witch’s Eve Rite: Witchseeker’s Vow (Hexerei)

When the party includes at least two Hexerei characters, each Hexerei unit affected by Tolling Rally gains 45% ATK for 5 seconds after triggering any Elemental Reaction or 65% ATK if that reaction is Swirl. Prune is the first known Hexerei character, with Nicole and Lohen also expected to carry this tag in Version 6.6.

    Prune Constellations

Prune scales well with constellations, especially early ones.

    Key Constellations

    • C1: Each converted Oathhammer hit regenerates 2 Energy for Prune, once every 1.8s; solid for reducing Burst downtime.
    • C2: During the Burst, Prune gains 10% ATK. Each hit from the Bell or Oathhammer adds 5% more, up to a total of 40% ATK — a significant power spike that further amplifies the team buffer.
    • C3: Raises Elemental Burst level by 3 (max 15).
    • C4: Converted Oathhammer hits ricochet to a nearby enemy, dealing 80% ATK as the matching Elemental type.
    • C5: Raises Elemental Skill level by 3 (max 15).
    • C6: Hunter-Seeker mode lasts 4 seconds longer. Any Elemental Reaction triggered by an ally with Tolling Rally gives Prune and all other buffed allies 350 ATK for 5s; a strong group-buff finisher at C6.

C2 and C6 are the biggest power spikes.

      Is Prune Worth Pulling?

Prune’s value depends on your playstyle and the kind of teams you run. She fits best in reaction-based setups where her Swirl mechanics and ATK-scaling buffs can boost overall team damage.

You should pull for her if you want a strong sub-DPS who can deal consistent off-field damage while also supporting your team with buffs, especially if you enjoy Swirl gameplay and elemental synergy.

However, you can skip her if you prefer simple, low-maintenance characters, don’t rely much on elemental reactions, or already have strong Anemo supports that fill a similar role in your team. Play Now!
