LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight All Joker Interrogation Choices

The “A Serious House…” mission in Chapter 5 of LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight sends Batman and Talia to Arkham Asylum with one goal: get the Joker talking about Bane and what the League of Shadows are actually planning. What follows is one of the funniest sequences in the game, built around four sets of player choices that each trigger a different comedic reaction from the Clown Prince of Crime.

LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight All Joker Interrogation Choices

Every choice pulls from decades of Batman film history, and the whole scene is a direct parody of the legendary interrogation moment from The Dark Knight (2008). This guide covers every available option across all four choice prompts.

Do Any of the Choices Change the Outcome?

None of them do. The story beats stay identical no matter what you pick. Joker never gives up anything useful, and the mission progresses the same way every time. Think of these as flavor selections rather than meaningful decisions. If you want to see every reaction, head back to the Batcave computer and replay the mission at any point.

Good Cop or Bat Cop?

Batman kicks things off, and you get to decide his opening approach.

ChoiceButtonWhat Happens
Good CopSquare / XBatman goes full friendly, greeting Joker as his “ol’ buddy and ol’ pal.” Joker warms to the pleasant approach but flatly denies any knowledge of the League of Shadows.
Bat CopCircle / BBatman skips words entirely and just chirps like an actual bat. Joker has no idea what is happening and claims he has never heard of the League of Shadows.

Going the friendly route at least earns a moment of appreciation from Joker before he shuts down the conversation.

Show Evidence or Intimidate?

Talia steps in for the second round, and her approach shifts the tone entirely.

ChoiceButtonWhat Happens
Show EvidenceSquare / XTalia produces a photo of Bane. Joker squints at it and guesses the name is “Dane,” offering absolutely nothing beyond that.
IntimidateCircle / BTalia threatens to expose Joker’s tattoos, specifically his Jared Leto-era inkwork from Suicide Squad (2016). The Joker immediately gets flustered and spills that Bane looks like “he gives great hugs,” which is the full extent of his intel.

Intimidate wins on entertainment value. The Suicide Squad jab is one of the better gags in the whole sequence.

Cheesy, Dark, or Nutty?

This is where the game fully commits to its Batman movie tribute act, giving three distinct impressions to pick from.

ChoiceButtonWhat Happens
CheesyTriangle / YBatman leans into Adam West territory: “Start talking, Joker, or I’ll give you a punchline you won’t find funny.” Joker fires back with “Holy bad puns, Batman!” and declares the whole thing pointless. (Batman, 1966)
DarkSquare / XBatman adopts a very recognizable Ben Affleck cadence: “Tell me. Do you concede? You will.” Even Joker admits that is a bit much, before writing it off as a waste of time. (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2016)
NuttyX / ABatman goes full Michael Keaton: “You wanna get nuts? C’mon, let’s get nuts,” complete with a spinning head. Joker is charmed by the nostalgia but mentions he is allergic to nuts. Still a waste of time. (Batman, 1989)

All three hit, but the Keaton impression lands with an extra layer of absurdity thanks to the spinning head detail.

Bane’s Boss or Bane’s Plan?

The final prompt brings Talia back for one last attempt to squeeze out something useful.

ChoiceButtonWhat Happens
Bane’s Boss?Triangle / YTalia pushes Joker on who is pulling Bane’s strings. Joker shrugs and says whoever is in charge, it definitely is not him.
Bane’s Plan?X / ATalia implies Joker is involved with whatever Bane has in the works. Joker denies any connection and describes himself as a lone wolf with zero involvement.

After these two options play out, the remaining beats in the scene run automatically. Pressing X/A lets Batman keep pushing, but Joker holds firm and the interrogation wraps up with nothing gained on the intelligence front.

What Comes Next?

With the interrogation behind them, the story shifts as Talia warns Batman about the League of Shadows making their move. Before you head into Chapter 6, it is worth going back through the Arkham Asylum missions to sweep up any leftover Batcave trophies or WayneTech Caches you skipped on the first pass. Play Now!
