Season 8 of Marvel Rivals kicked off on May 15, 2026, with Devil Dinosaur stomping his way onto the roster. NetEase built a season event around him called Devil Dino Hide and Seek, where Moon Girl has lost track of her giant red companion and needs your help tracking him down. The event runs for two full months, and every mission you complete drops something from the reward pool.

This guide breaks down exactly what you can earn, how the timeline structure works, and all currently available mission objectives with their rewards.
When Does the Devil Dino Hide and Seek Event Run?
The event opened on May 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM UTC and runs through July 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM UTC. That gives you just under two months to work through all the missions at your own pace. There is no daily cap on progress, so you can grind multiple missions in a single session if you want to clear a timeline quickly.
How the Devil Dino Hide and Seek Event Works in Marvel Rivals
The event organizes its missions across four timelines. Each timeline contains two tabs: Decrypt and Search. Decrypt missions come first and must be fully completed before the Search tab for that same timeline unlocks. You cannot skip ahead or work on Search missions while Decrypt missions remain unfinished.
Only Timelines I and II are available at launch. Timelines III and IV unlock progressively during the season. You also need to clear earlier timelines completely before later ones open, so the intended path is linear: Timeline I Decrypt, then Timeline I Search, then Timeline II, and so on.
All missions count progress in Quick Match, Competitive, Arcade, and Practice vs AI. Standard objectives include completing a set number of matches, dealing damage, taking damage, securing assists, and getting eliminations. These track across any mode you prefer, so there is no need to play a specific playlist.

Which Missions Complete Fastest
Damage taken objectives are the easiest to knock out quickly. Play any Vanguard and spend the match on the frontline. Devil Dinosaur himself is an obvious pick since his frontline brawl style naturally absorbs heavy damage while building bleed stacks on enemies. A single competitive match as a frontline tank can chip away several thousand damage taken points.
Assists stack fastest on Strategists. Every heal that contributes to a kill registers as an assist, so a strong healing session across a full match can cover a large chunk of the 30-assist requirement in one sitting.
Eliminations are slower to grind on tanks. If Defeat 60 Enemies is holding you up, consider switching to an aggressive Duelist for that specific Search OP rather than forcing it on a Vanguard.
Arcade and Practice vs AI count for all objectives. If you want to knock out damage thresholds without ranked pressure, both modes register full credit. Practice vs AI in particular is worth using for the damage dealing and damage taken missions where the objective is purely numerical. Play Now!
