How to Get the Tasteful Portrait for Claptrap
Your first objective takes you east to The Flarewell, an Order base crawling with enemies. Clear the initial wave, then focus on the miniboss Big Orange Hothead (nicknamed “Jerk”). He specializes in incendiary damage but is weak to shock weapons. Defeat him to get the Facility Keycard.
Head southeast toward the depot. The door console won’t respond, but a broken wall nearby provides an alternate path. Jump through, activate the hidden switch, and a container will open. Drop down and push forward until you reach a shrine-like room. On a table sits the Tasteful Portrait—take it before moving on.
How to Solve the Solar Panel Puzzle for VR-ON1CA’s Processor
The next area throws more Order troops at you. Eliminate them and climb the central building’s roof using your Grapple. From the top, you’ll spot the processor locked inside a bulkhead.

Use the control panel to activate a laser cannon, then solve the solar panel puzzle:
- Two panels can be rotated, while one is broken.
- Adjust their positions with your Grapple until the beam redirects straight into the door.
Once the bunker opens, a Badass Synth will ambush you. Defeat it, then grab VR-ON1CA’s Processor and the Damaged Voice Module from the crate inside.
How to Get Rustknuckle’s Mask in Borderlands 4
Continue through the bunker and scale the wall on the left to emerge outside. From here, begin climbing the tower using walls, grapple points, and movable solar panels that double as jump platforms.
At the top, you’ll discover a red outhouse. Open it to find the body of Rustknuckle and collect the Weird Smelling Mask, the final item Claptrap wants.
The Explosive Finale
Return to Claptrap at the lakeside shack. Place the portrait, processor, and mask on the raft by the water. Collect two explosives from his workbench and attach them as well.
Once Claptrap pushes the raft into the river, shoot the explosives to trigger a fiery send-off. The mission concludes here, rewarding you with gear, currency, and customization items.

Quick Tips: No Place Like Home Borderlands 4
- Bring elemental gear: Shock weapons are especially effective against Hothead and shielded foes.
- Clear enemies before puzzles: The solar panel sequence is easier without Order troops interrupting.
- Check the tower chest: At the top near the outhouse, there’s a red loot chest with bonus gear.
- Watch for bugs: The keycard or doors may occasionally glitch. Reloading a save usually fixes it.
No Place Like Home blends combat, light puzzle-solving, and platforming with Claptrap’s unique brand of humor. It also marks the start of his personal questline, eventually tying into the Widely Beloved Mascot achievement. For completionists, it’s both a rewarding and memorable side activity in Borderlands 4.
