Payday 3 Review: Everything You Need to Know About the Co-op Shooter That Lets You Plan and Execute Heists

Payday 3, the 3rd installment in the popular co-op shooter series that lets players plan and execute heists, has recently launched on September 18, 2023. It is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, and can also be played on Xbox Game Pass with a subscription.

It is a cooperative multiplayer FPS where up to 4 players can take on various heists in New York City. You can choose from different characters, weapons, skills, and perks to customize your playstyle. You can also play stealthily or go loud depending on the situation. The game has eight  (8) missions available at launch, with more planned to be added later. Some of the missions include robbing a bank, stealing a diamond, infiltrating a casino, and breaking out of prison.

Matchmaking Server Issue: 

The server issue for Payday 3, which made its CEO to tender apology- due to the high demand and the insufficient scaling of the matchmaking servers and game servers. According to the official statement from Starbreeze, the game had a peak of more than 220,000 concurrent players and 924,204 unique players on the launch day, which overwhelmed the online infrastructure.

Many twitter users reported as the matchmaking services were still not working as intended. The CEO of Starbreeze, Tobias Sjögren, apologized for the server issues and said that they will work tirelessly until they have fixed the problem.
