The soothing satisfaction of PowerWash Simulator is back—this time, with even more ways to play with friends. PowerWash Simulator 2 expands the cleaning experience with new tools, new environments, and a full multiplayer overhaul that includes both online and local co-op. Whether you prefer scrubbing solo or teaming up side by side, here’s everything you need to know about multiplayer in PowerWash Simulator 2.

Local Split-Screen Co-op: Cleaning Together on the Same Screen
For the first time in the series, PowerWash Simulator 2 introduces split-screen co-op. Two players can now share a single screen and clean together—no internet required.
To start a local co-op session:
- Head to the main menu and select Single-Player mode.
- Plug in a second controller or input device (required for the second player).
- Select the split-screen co-op option at the bottom of the screen.
- Both players can now join and clean as a team.
The mode runs directly from the single-player campaign, so you and your partner can enjoy every mission together, from muddy cars to towering buildings. Performance-wise, the feature is optimized for current-gen consoles and PC, ensuring smooth dual-view gameplay without major frame drops.
Local co-op makes it easy for family members or friends to join in instantly—no matchmaking or accounts needed.
How Online Co-op Works in PowerWash Simulator 2

If your friends aren’t nearby, you can jump into online multiplayer instead. Up to four players can team up in Career Mode, while Free Play supports up to six players at once.
Here’s how to host or join:
- From the main menu, switch from Single-Player to Multiplayer Mode.
- Wait for a few seconds as the game transitions.
- Invite up to three friends (or more in Free Play).
- Begin your cooperative cleaning spree.
Unlike the first game, progress in PowerWash Simulator 2 is shared among all players in Career Mode. Every participant earns rewards and unlocks levels together, ensuring no one is left behind for simply helping out.
The host still controls the session, so if the host disconnects or closes the game, the multiplayer session ends automatically.
Crossplay Support: Who Can Play Together?
At launch, PowerWash Simulator 2 includes limited crossplay:
- PC and Xbox players can team up freely.
- PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2 players will get crossplay support in a future update.
This setup still provides good flexibility for most players, especially those using Game Pass on PC and console.
The Home Base: Your Multiplayer Hub
FuturLab has also introduced the Home Base, a customizable hub where you can gather with friends before missions. Decorate it with furniture and collectibles found during jobs, or simply hang out between sessions. It’s your personal workshop—and a shared meeting spot for co-op partners before heading out to the next grime-covered location.
PowerWash Simulator 2 takes everything that made the original a cult hit and adds the one feature fans always wanted—true multiplayer variety. With online matchmaking, local split-screen, and shared campaign progress, it’s the most accessible and community-driven entry yet.
