Kuro Games has confirmed that Wuthering Waves Version 3.1 will roll out globally on February 5, 2026, following a scheduled server maintenance. The update introduces two new five-star Resonators, expands the world with a fresh region, and adds new story content, weapons, and limited-time events for players to explore.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.1 Release Time and Maintenance Details
Server maintenance is scheduled to begin on February 5 at 04:00 AM (UTC+8) and is expected to last around seven hours. Once maintenance ends, players can immediately access Version 3.1 and start pulling on the new banners. As usual, Kuro Games plans to distribute 300 Astrites and 2 Crystal Solvents as compensation to eligible accounts after servers come back online.
Aemeath and Luuk Herssen Headline New Character Banners
Version 3.1 adds Aemeath and Luuk Herssen as the update’s featured five-star Resonators.

- Phase 1 (Feb 5 – Feb 26): Aemeath debuts alongside reruns for Chisa and Lupa.
- Phase 2 (Feb 26 – Mar 18): Luuk becomes available with a Galbrena rerun.
Each new character launches with a signature weapon banner, giving players a clear upgrade path during both phases.
New Weapons and Combat Additions
The update introduces two new five-star weapons tied to the featured Resonators. Everbright Polestar, a sword designed for Aemeath, arrives in Phase 1, while Daybreaker’s Spine, a gauntlet built for Luuk, launches in Phase 2. These weapons appear on their own Absolute Pulsation banners and run alongside their respective character banners.
Story Expansion and New Region
Version 3.1 continues the main narrative with Chapter 3, Act 3: “The Star That Voyages Far”, which focuses on Aemeath’s storyline. A separate Segue quest, “All That Sunlight Touches,” explores Luuk’s backstory in more detail.
The update also opens the Roya Frostlands – Frostlands Surface, a new explorable region packed with side activities, enemies, and exploration rewards.
Events, Echoes, and Quality-of-Life Content
Players can expect multiple limited-time events, including combat challenges, exploration objectives, and login rewards. Version 3.1 also adds new Echoes, new Sonata Effects, and a fresh Tactical Hologram boss to test high-level builds. Free Rover skins unlock through story progression, giving players cosmetic rewards without extra spending.
With two new five-star characters, a brand-new region, and a packed event schedule, Version 3.1 marks one of the most content-heavy updates so far. Players who enjoy story progression and character building will find plenty to do throughout the six-week update cycle. Play Now!
