Wuthering Waves Rebecca Build: Best Weapons, Echo Sets, and Teams

Rebecca is pure, unhinged DPS energy from head to toe, and Wuthering Waves hands her to every player for free during the Cyberpunk Edgerunners collaboration. Do not let the chaotic exterior fool you though. Behind the backflips, the machine gun turret, and the shotgun brawling, Rebecca is a focused S-tier sub-DPS who buffs the entire team’s Heavy Attack damage and locks down enemies with a collab-exclusive Hack mechanic that only gets stronger alongside her perfect partner, Lucy.

Wuthering Waves Rebecca Build

This guide covers everything you need to build Rebecca at her best: weapons, echo sets, stat priorities, team compositions, team rotations, and her core gameplay loop.

Rebecca fights by swapping between two combat stances: Hunter Mode and Iron Guts Mode. Hunter Mode centers on agile dual-pistol combat loaded with backflips, slides, and tactical dodges. Iron Guts Mode shifts to a close-range shotgun burst playstyle with a heavier, punchier feel. Both stances let Rebecca move and attack at the same time through Tactical Dodge, keeping her rotation smooth and flexible.

Her Resonance Liberation, Party ’til Dawn!, is her signature moment. She mounts a heavy machine gun, locks onto enemies automatically, and unleashes a relentless barrage with high damage reduction and interruption resistance active. The skill ends with a massive explosion called BOOM! Fireworks! After dealing damage, she can deploy an off-field turret through her Outro Skill that keeps dealing Electro damage while another Resonator takes the field.

Rebecca also carries the collab-exclusive Hack mechanic. She applies Hack – Shifting to enemies through her skills, and when teammates trigger Tune Break on those enemies, it activates Hack – Interfered for bonus damage.

Is Rebecca Worth Building?

Rebecca holds S Rank in the current meta across sub-DPS, Tower of Adversity, and Whispering Wilds endgame modes. Here is a quick breakdown of what she offers:

Strengths

  • Broad sub-DPS viability with All DMG and Heavy Attack DMG buffs that fit multiple team types
  • Deals solid personal damage for a sub-DPS unit
  • Time stop ability during Resonance Liberation creates free damage windows for the team
  • Deploys an off-field turret that attacks while the main DPS plays on-field
  • Hack mechanic synergizes directly with Lucy for even higher combined output
  • Available completely free in Version 3.4

Weaknesses

  • Her ceiling, especially the Hack mechanic, reaches its peak only alongside Lucy

Rebecca Skill Priority

Rebecca deals the majority of her damage through Basic Attacks, so unlock her two inherent skills first: Tag, You’re It! and Left an Opening!

After that, follow this upgrade order:

Forte Circuit > Resonance Liberation > Normal Attack > Resonance Skill > Intro Skill

Best Weapons for Rebecca

PriorityWeaponNotes
BestSkull ThrasherSignature weapon; massive Basic Attack DMG Bonus, high Crit DMG stat, teamwide ATK buff
AlternativePhasic HomogenizerStrong all-purpose pick; grants All-Attribute DMG Bonus after Tune Break
AlternativeSpectrum BlasterBasic Attack DMG bonus after Intro Skill; stacks team DMG on Tune Strain
AlternativeStatic MistEnergy Regen-focused; boosts buffing rotation and Outro uptime
Budget 4-starSolar FlameBattle Pass weapon; works via its Crit Rate stat

Skull Thrasher remains the clear best-in-slot for Rebecca. It pushes her Basic Attack DMG Bonus significantly, provides a healthy Crit DMG secondary stat, and buffs the entire team’s ATK for 30 seconds. If you do not have her signature weapon, the standard 5-star Phasic Homogenizer is the most accessible strong alternative. Static Mist works well for players who struggle with Liberation uptime, as the Energy Regen secondary stat eases rotation consistency.

For 4-star options, Novaburst, Pistols#26, and Relativistic Jet all contribute through short ATK-boosting effects and work in a pinch.

Best Echo Sets for Rebecca

Rebecca runs a unique triple Sonata Effect configuration made possible by the collab-exclusive Shadow of Shattered Dreams being a 1-piece set.

Best Echo Setup

SlotSet
1-pieceShadow of the Shattered Dream Wraith
2-pieceVoid Thunder
2-pieceReel of Spliced Memories / Lingering Tunes

Shadow of the Shattered Dream Wraith (1-piece): When Rebecca inflicts Hack – Shifting, she gains 35% Crit Rate, 35% Basic Attack DMG Bonus, and 35% Heavy Attack DMG Bonus for 15 seconds. This is Rebecca’s best set by a wide margin and is the anchor of her primary build.

Void Thunder (2-piece): Increases Electro DMG by 10%. Pairs cleanly with the collab set.

Reel of Spliced Memories or Lingering Tunes (2-piece): Increases ATK by 10%. Either works as the third set in this configuration.

Alternative Echo Sets

SetupRatingNotes
Moonlit Clouds 5-piece2nd BestStronger buffing option when supporting a high-sequence main DPS; pair with Impermanence Heron
Void Thunder 5-piece3rd BestEarly-game fallback; good Electro DMG but lower ceiling than the triple-set configuration

Best Main Echo for Rebecca

Reminiscence: Nightmare Adam Smasher is Rebecca’s primary Main Echo. When Rebecca equips this in the first slot, it grants her a flat 15% Crit Rate bonus and replaces the Echo Skill with a homing missile barrage that deals 16 hits of 17.10% Electro DMG each.

If you run Moonlit Clouds instead, swap the main echo to Impermanence Heron for its energy generation and next-Resonator DMG buff.

Best Teams for Rebecca

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Team (Best)

RoleCharacter
Main DPSLucy (5-star)
Sub-DPSRebecca (5-star)
SupportMornye (5-star)

Lucy and Rebecca share the collab-exclusive Hack mechanic, making them the strongest duo in Version 3.4. Lucy debuffs enemies and supercharges Rebecca’s turret with a 250% DMG Multiplier boost when she takes the field after Rebecca’s Outro. Mornye rounds out the trio by improving Tune Break efficiency with her Off-Tune Level Efficiency buffs and providing team-wide All DMG Amplification.

Cyberpunk Team Rotation

  1. Start with Mornye and perform three Basic Attacks to fill her Forte gauge. Hold Heavy Attack to go airborne and enter Wide Field Observation Mode.
  2. Follow up with three Basic Attacks into her Resonance Skill. Cancel the Resonance Skill endlag immediately with Liberation to generate the High Syntony Field.
  3. Once the High Syntony Field activates, cast Mornye’s enhanced Heavy Attack and switch to Rebecca via Outro Skill.
  4. As Rebecca enters the field, she switches to Guts stance automatically. Perform three Basic Attacks to build her Forte gauge.
  5. Cast Resonance Skill to swap back to Huntress stance and perform two more Basic Attacks.
  6. With the Forte gauge full, trigger the empowered Heavy Attack and then activate Resonance Liberation. Re-press Liberation two more times during the animation to upgrade the machine gun.
  7. Switch to Lucy via Outro Skill.
  8. As Lucy enters through her Intro, chain immediately into two Resonance Skill casts followed by three Basic Attacks.
  9. Once available, cast Lucy’s empowered Resonance Skill (Deadlock) and follow with four Basic Attacks to unlock her enhanced Heavy Attack.
  10. Hold Heavy Attack and cast Resonance Liberation immediately after.
  11. Switch back to Mornye via Outro and repeat the cycle.

General Heavy Attack Team

RoleCharacter
Main DPSAugusta (5-star)
Sub-DPSRebecca (5-star)
SupportShorekeeper (5-star)

When running without Lucy, pair Rebecca with any heavy attack main DPS like Augusta or Jiyan. Rebecca replaces Iuno or Mortefi in these setups, contributing with her off-field turret, Hack debuffs, and All DMG buffs. Shorekeeper or Verina works equally well in the support slot across all configurations.

Heavy Attack Team Rotation (Augusta)

  1. Open with Shorekeeper and run through her combo sequence to build Resonance and Concerto gauges. Cast Liberation to deploy Stellarealm, then switch to Rebecca via Outro.
  2. As Rebecca enters the field via Intro, she moves to Guts stance. Follow the Intro with three Basic Attacks to build the Forte gauge.
  3. Cast Resonance Skill to swap to Huntress stance and perform two more Basic Attacks. Trigger the empowered Heavy Attack once the gauge is full.
  4. Activate Resonance Liberation and press the button twice more during the animation to upgrade the turret firepower. Switch to Augusta via Outro.
  5. With Augusta on-field, immediately perform her Prowess-enhanced Heavy Attacks and cast Echo Skill for Electro DMG.
  6. Cast Resonance Skill and Liberation, then chain into a Heavy Attack combo to fill her Ascendancy stacks. Follow with her three-part Resonance Skill combo.
  7. Once her Forte Plunge activates, trigger her Majesty-enhanced Resonance Liberation and enter Sworn Allegiance, pausing time for 7 seconds.
  8. During the time stop window, attack nine times with Sunborne slashes and cast Everbright Protector.
  9. After Sworn Allegiance ends, execute a Heavy Attack combo (HA followed by Basic Attacks 2 through 4).
  10. Switch out to Shorekeeper via Intro and detonate Stellarealm.
  11. Repeat until all enemies fall.

How to Play Rebecca

Core Gameplay Loop

Rebecca works best when rotated through a clean two-stance loop. Here is the standard rotation:

  1. Enter the field via Intro Skill, which automatically switches Rebecca to Guts stance.
  2. Press Basic Attack three times to build the Forte gauge.
  3. Cast Resonance Skill to switch back to Huntress stance.
  4. Perform two more Basic Attacks, then trigger the empowered Heavy Attack once the Forte gauge fills.
  5. Activate Resonance Liberation (Party ’til Dawn!) and re-press the button twice during the animation to level up the machine gun’s firepower.
  6. Activate Outro Skill to deploy the off-field turret and switch to the next Resonator.

Understanding Rebecca’s Two Stances

Huntress (Pistols)

  • Default stance
  • Grants 30% Crit DMG bonus
  • Attacks use Tech Pistols (based on Omaha)

Iron Guts (Shotgun)

  • Activated through Intro Skill or Resonance Skill
  • Ignores 15% of enemy DEF
  • Attacks use Carnage Shotgun (based on Guts)

Use the Huntress Heavy Attack whenever possible, as it deals significantly more damage than the Guts version.

Hot Hand Mechanic

Rebecca builds a secondary Forte gauge called Hot Hand that fills gradually during combat (10 points per second). Empowered Heavy Attacks restore an additional 40 points each. When the gauge hits 120 points, the next Intro Skill or Resonance Skill triggers the A Girl Gets What She Wants! effect, granting Rebecca the bonuses of BOTH stances simultaneously for 12 seconds.

This window gives Rebecca 30% Crit DMG from Huntress and 15% DEF Ignore from Guts at the same time. Aim to trigger this every rotation.

Hack Mechanic

Rebecca applies Hack – Shifting to enemies through her Intro Skill, Empowered Heavy Attacks, and Resonance Liberation. When a Tune Break hits an enemy under Hack – Shifting, it activates Hack – Interfered and triggers Hack – Meltdown for a burst of bonus Hack DMG. This mechanic works similar to Tune Rupture but does not count as Tune Rupture.

The Hack mechanic is exclusive to Rebecca and Lucy. Running them together triggers it far more frequently, which is the core reason their pairing is so strong.

Outro Skill Turret

Rebecca’s Outro deploys a turret that attacks enemies with Electro DMG for 14 seconds after she leaves the field. The next Resonator also gains:

  • 15% All DMG Amplification for 14 seconds
  • Stackable Heavy Attack DMG Amplification (up to 35%) at 0.5% per 0.2 seconds

When Lucy enters as the next Resonator, she automatically receives max Overlimit stacks and boosts the turret’s damage by 250%, though the turret’s active time reduces to 4 seconds.

Pull Recommendation: S0 with her signature weapon (R1) already delivers a strong experience. S2 is the first major milestone worth targeting, as it provides a powerful teamwide buff. S6 is a transformative power spike if you plan to invest long-term. The recommended progression is S0R1 > S2R1 > S6R1/S6R5. Play Now!
