In Persona 5: The Phantom X, the Solitary Gourmand is a rare and often overlooked Story Award. To earn it, players must explore 3 hidden restaurants across different districts — but it’s not as simple as walking in. If you’re aiming to collect every award or just looking to maximize your Meta Crystal gains, this guide will walk you through each step.

What Is the Solitary Gourmand Award?
The Solitary Gourmand is a Story-based achievement found in the Awards tab of the main menu. Unlocking it grants not just recognition, but a reward of 10 Meta Crystals, a valuable in-game currency used for gacha pulls and upgrades.
To unlock this award, players must:
- Find and visit 3 specific restaurants
- Repeatedly interact until prompted to enter and eat
- Do this for all 3 unique locations
This award is part of the Story category, meaning it contributes toward your overall completion rate and unlocks tied rewards in later milestones.

How to Unlock the Solitary Gourmand Award
Step 1: Locate the 3 Restaurants
You’ll need to find and visit:
- A Western-style restaurant in Zoshigaya
- An International restaurant in Yongen-Jaya
- An Eel shop in Shinjuku
Each restaurant appears as an interactable facade on the map, but is not marked with a mission icon.
These can be visited in any order, and you do not need to visit them all in the same session. Progress is saved across visits.
Step 2: Interact Multiple Times
Merely finding these restaurants isn’t enough. When Wonder approaches a restaurant, he will hesitate to go in. Here’s how to proceed:
- Interact 2 to 4 times until he says something like “Maybe going inside wouldn’t hurt.”
- Choose the “Eat” option when it appears in the dialogue prompt
- This confirms the restaurant is counted toward the award
The interaction is dialogue-driven, so do not skip past the prompts. Wait for the “Eat” option before proceeding.
Step 3: Complete All Three Visits
You can visit the restaurants in any order. There is no time restriction, and visits do not consume Action Points, money, or in-game time.
Once all three visits are completed, the award will be automatically unlocked and can be claimed from the Awards > Story tab.
All Restaurant Locations
Here’s a detailed look at each of the 3 required locations.
1. Western-Style Restaurant – Zoshigaya
- Where: North of Wonder’s home
- Landmark: Opposite the Gachapon machines
- Tip: In-game, it is simply labeled as “Restaurant”
- Visual Cue: Blue signage and a small menu board out front
Additional Clue: The building is standalone and has no adjacent interactive elements.
2. International Restaurant – Yongen-Jaya
- Where: North of Café LeBlanc
- Landmark: Across from the bathhouse
- Visual Cue: Sign with “Lunch Time” and “Dinner Time” written on it, with food images
Additional Clue: Appears after taking the first right from the Yongen-Jaya entrance.

3. Eel Shop – Shinjuku
- Where: Red-Light District, west of the entry point
- How to Get There: Upon entering Shinjuku, go left and follow the buildings on the left
- Visual Cue: Wooden gate bars and a narrow shopfront
Additional Clue: Look for a slight indent on the minimap where the building curves inward.

Additional Tips
