The Server Slam event was held from October 17 to October 19, 2025, across all major platforms—PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This open beta allowed players to explore early content, including combat in the Rust Belt and the Dam Battlegrounds map.
It served two main purposes:
- To stress-test servers ahead of launch.
- To give early players a preview of the game’s extraction-style mechanics, squad coordination, and gear crafting systems.
Participation also came with a reward: the exclusive Server Slam backpack, available only to those who joined the event during that short testing period.
How to Unlock the Server Slam Backpack
If you participated in the Server Slam, follow these steps to claim your backpack in the full release:
- Launch ARC Raiders and complete the initial tutorial sequence if you’re starting fresh.
- Log in using the same Embark ID that you used during the Server Slam. This step is crucial—if you log in with a different account, your participation won’t be recognized.
- After logging in, head to your inventory or character customization menu to find the backpack.
- If it doesn’t appear right away, restart the game, and it should load automatically.
Embark Studios has confirmed that the Server Slam backpack will begin appearing on accounts from October 31, a day after the global launch. This slight delay was due to post-launch adjustments and reward distribution issues.
Missed the Event? Can You Still Get It?
Unfortunately, the Server Slam backpack was exclusive to the event. That means if you didn’t participate in the beta, there’s currently no way to obtain it in the full release. All progress made during the test—like builds, gear, and skill trees—was reset when the full version launched, but this backpack is the only item that carried over as a token of appreciation from the developers.
